I ask, trance kid:
are they spinning the same stuff nowadays'? are they spinning together yet'? are they yet doing some compilation series'?
period.
the music they play live now is neither trance, is firstly prog house...

yeah they are spinning together lately at some gigs. Im sure they could get together and do a badass comp and tour if they felt like it. Theyre still hot.

Really? Cuz when he played in Toronto he started with Stars Inc (Ambient mix) and from that went into Lo-Step - Burma.

Anyways, this thread is a ing joke. No offence to what G&D are doing, but are you ing kidding me? I can't even believe that this needs to be discussed, to be honest. If you wanna take a duo that's comparable ot Sasha & Digweed, there's VERY VERY VERY few out there. The only other one I can think of is Tyrant. They're like the pure dirty, funky, house version of S&D.

And Sasha & Digweed were never PRODUCTION partners.

They do in fact spin together these days. No recent compilation series, but how does that detract from their achievements?

Why is the specific genre relevant here? Are we not comparing the talent level? (The rest of the paragraph is a personal attack, not a coherent argument).

about the producer part: yeah, u dont've nothing to talk here.
are u a Xpanda fan'? yeah, me too...

You're really avoiding the argument. May I recommend www.discogs.com? Look up Sasha & Digweed's productions; you tell me how they stack against G&D. Airdrawndagger alone will outweight any of G&D's work.

lots of crazy people on this thread...hehe...
I only did a simple comparison and I saw lots of bashers or the new slang: "haters" here...
I suck writing english but I dont suck trying understand things...
:wtf:

You made a very poor comparison and failed to substantiate it. What exactly did you expect?
House@UCF
Are you on crack?
beats and beeps
Wow, usually a thread like this turns into a bash fest, but it seems that this time people are greatly over rating the accomplishments of both of these duos.

defo: Sasha and Digs production wise like PARTNERS (not individual) are not better than Gabriel and Dresden, no way... maybe some people in the forums could say thay dont like G e D, but their stuff is more creative and well produced... and dont compare airdrawndagger, thats a bad comparison, some pages left u can see somebody rememberin about charlie may importance in this album...

First topic of the thread I typed:
I know at the moment Gabriel and Dresden cant be called better or more important for trance history than Sasha and Digweed were in the past (99/2000)

Sorry but maybe u dont ve read it.

*going sleep now...*
cya.. good nite all.

So let me get this straight:
1. You do acknowledge that Sasha & Digweed are better DJ's.
2. You think that Gabriel & Dresden are better producers...because "their stuff is more creative and well produced"?!

More creative?! Well produced?!

How, in the name of Jupiter, do you figure that?!
vinnie97
This thread's a laugh.

Gabriel & Dresden are mere mortals in the realm of people like Sasha/Digweed. I would say Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West) are a better match to the Sasha/Digweed duo, talentwise (and generally better in the realm of production if you strip away all of Sasha's production help ;)).

Gabriel & Dresden remixes are a dime a dozen. Please clean out the wax from your ears.

B&J are the best producers out there in this industry. They're legends.

:stongue: :haha:

+ 1 on the WOW and S&D comparison. Sasha and Digweed have nothing on WOW when it comes to productions and remixes IMO. As for mixing and djing, S&D are considered better, but I do believe that WOW give a more live performance in their live acts which totaly affects the credibilty of the comparison...

ah it, they're both great! What saddens me is the fact that Warren, Digweed etc are all starting to look like old men. We need some fresh faces!!!!

Holden anybody?

vinnie97
Here here. Holden's a veritable badass whose DJ'ing has improved by leaps and bounds over the last few years.

Zabiela still has a young face as well. ;) There are other up and comers (Luke Chable) who are attempting to keep things fresh.

I still have a special fondness for some of the geezers of the scene, and Jody W has yet to reach his pinnacle of recognition, IMO (he's only 31!).

Again, retarded thread barring a few sensible posts.:p
