Oh noes! :eyes:
It looks like I'm going to be buying a car in the next 6 months.
I've got my heart set on a Pontiac Vibe. I just love the name. I took one for a spin today and it was super sweet.

Congrats!!! If it's your first car, I can imagine how excited you must be! :)
If you like that shape, then how about the Toyota Matrix? My only complaint is that the Vibe is an American car (LOL!!! no disses to TAs intended here) just that with Japanese and esp. Toyota quality you can ABSOLUTELY not go wrong...not sure if the price range is the same, though. |

| Awesome...but i no longer trust north american cars....especially pontiacs :toothless :toothless :toothless but then again I know a few people who have pontiacs and they are quite happy ;) |

| Agreed, stay far away from domestic cars. The few extra bucks you spend on an "import" will actually be cheaper in the long run. |

Very inexpensive to repair and maintain. That is what I'm going for...
I'm also not a heavy driver. Maybe a trek deep into the forest or a weekend down to the city... |

The thing is that "very inexpensive to repair and maintain" is actually true...but with those other cars...you hardly need to maintain and/or repair them (unless you crash it of course) but the pontiac will be in the shop A LOT...like someone just said, in the long run you might be paying a lot more. (which is what my mom and I are doing now with a pontiac sunfire :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: can't wait to get a new car, non-american). BUT, with that said the "experts" usually recommend to buy a cheap american car as your first-ever car ;)
You can also get nice deals if you're in school/graduate sometimes. |

Also, I'm open to suggestions...
Vibe caught my eye. Someone just phoned me to convince me not to buy American.
Just so you know, I don't have my license. I've driven a bit, and know what I want. I want to be in control... Going 90, I want to turn the wheel a bit and be the master. Apparently I'm told the Pontiac will be like driving a bowl of Jell-O.
Volkswagen? |

VW are really nice cars especially the new Jettas but are really expensive and if you need to repair/maintain it be prepared to shell out alot of extra unneeded money since its a German car. For a nice little new 4banger I'd say go with the Mazda3. It's a really nice car and the suspension on that thing is like no other. And as previously mentioned in the TOTA Tuner thread this car is top of it's class among the Civics, Focus etc.
My dream one day would be to own a Mazda3 and just put some little extra mods in it.
This would be my dream car very sleek and clean

i saw this somewhere on the internet a while back: "buying trance is like buying a car. dont by american"
they are the biggest pieces of u can imagine. no matter if its a lincin (however u spell). ive once been in one of those licin taxis at pearson, and theyre all fallin apart.
sorta like a macintosh. it may LOOK nice, but its really . thats all apple does with their newer comps. make them look nice and shiny and ooooooo plastic look at those colors omfg i gottttta buy this!!!
anyway if u want quality choose german, but if u want lower price and still good quality (but not as good as german) go japanese |
