Ok, so earliest a week before the event, unless someone officially posted it way earlier but i dont think...

And no ING way! I cant believe i zoned out or dont remember hearing the beauty Rank 1 - Breathing! Someone mentioned it before in another thread but i thought he was on crack...That is honestly in the top 3 trance tunes of all time for me, im sure i woulda remembered it so i dunno what the hell i was doing:(

I guess a proper review is better late than never! Where to begin, so many ups, so few lows! I'm really glad I ended up going in the end, cuz I had been considering skipping the entire thing cuz most of my friends had bailed. Having been away from Montreal for a little while, it was my first time partying since I think it was Tiesto at Cepsum (i know a long time).

Guess time to start at the beginning. Showed up round 1:30am and parked in the underground parking lot of the Big O, which was more a precautionary move than anything else. What a mistake that was, my rear tailight ended up been busted out by some punks (or so I think) so that was a real piss-off, not to mention the 12$ fee. Should have just parked on the street , but we were a crew of 3 cars yadda yadda..

Quickly proceeded to DOWN 3 beers in 5 minutes in the car before going. I don't think I've downed beer that fast in my life, but the clock was ticking before Liebing came on (and the alcohol ended)! Made my way inside with no problem, as expected. There was NO lineup whatsoever...what a contrast from BEB 2004 when I practically had to relieve myself in the VIP line waiting to get in :o. ANyways so get in, hip-hop room looked dead, stayed for maybe 15 seconds walking to the trance/tech room, longest 15 seconds of my life (I KID! :p ).

Get there finally, Lawrence is on. I had NO idea what to expect from him. Listened to one or two tracks of the cheese-a-thon and then quickly proceeded to attack the concessions/bars that were closing at 2:30. The girls at the concession convinced me they would close at 3, but I came back at 2:25 for last round and they had already been locked up. That was a real pain but life goes on.

Proceeded to hit the dance floor right in time for Liebing to come on in his trademark black t-shirt. Does the guy only own one? Or does he have 10 of the same shirt, all black? I'm starting to wonder. It was my 3rd time seeing Leibing, and he really didn't disappoint. THUMP THUMP THUMP, repeat. Amazing. Pretty sure he played Los 3 Brasileros-Vivo, cuz that was the only track I could recognize after the multiple vodka-red bulls + beer :p .

By that point I had completely lost my friends, so proceeded to look where they told me they'd be: "by the left speaker." I guess "left" for them meant "right" (the OTHER left) cuz I finally found them 1 hour into Liebing by the right speaker. On my way I ran into Marcus and LiGHT78 (I think right?). Nice meeting you guys! It was funny putting a face to all the hype they (especially Marcus you nutcase :p ) had created before the event! Two seconds after meeting them I ran into some Toronto TAs, tatgirl and shanny I thin it was (pretty hard to hear!). Natalie was acting as the "Malek" designate and took a whole slew of pics which was really nice of her! Thanks again! are they posted anywhere yet?

Anyways, this is getting long. Oh ya, Liebing thump thump thump. Armin came on and next thing I knew it was 7:30 :eyes: :eyes: . Time flies when you're having the time of your life. Highlight for me was I Know You're Gone and Communication. G&D - Arcadia was mad sick too, I think Blank & Jones played it after too no? But I'm horrible at IDing tracks.

Armin finished up with Adagio remix I think, then on came Blank & Jones. I had never seen them live and didn't know what to expect. They played some good classics I guess but I couldn't really get into it cuz I was getting tired pretty quick. My highlight was hearing BORN SLIPPY (not BORN SLIPPERY) by Underworld at which point I called it a night (or morning) round 9:30. Got home, round 10;30, crashed and burned then woke up for hockey at night :D . What a good day!

Overall great times!! My crew was all cracked up on their variety of substances so they were pretty incoherent most of the night. I left early cuz I was about to collapse, but I made the best of my time there that's for sure. Only thing that would have put this night in my top 3 of all time would have been Preach, but I really shouldn't complain! I finally got to meet some TAs after having been a member for maybe 1 year and having browsed for ages (since Ortemy was in Montreal: he introduced me to TA).

Shoutout to Marcus, LiGHT78, tatgirl, shanny and some other TOTA's that I couldn't make out their names, sorry bout that. I'm pretty sure I saw Wisnia, MonikaVB and Louis on the VIP stage. Louis looked pretty bored during B&J, maybe he was still fuming about the cameras  (jokes). I actually snuck into the VIP for a little while, but found the mood (and mainly the sound) not as good as with the crowd back downstairs. The sound overall really sucked I found. I took my earplugs out for 5 seconds and all I heard was distorted bass...not good. Oh ya, and the hip hop room? I walked by to go to the washroom a couple times, and heard the same song 3 times (on 3 different occasions)...what a waste but to each his/her own.

If you got this far, I commend you.
See you @ IM and Sasha!

I CANT BELIEVE I MISSED IT. That is in depressing. Ah well...at least I got to hear Purple Haze - Adrenaline, Born Slippery, Adagio for Strings and all the other sick songs they played! I pray they come back soon! Just amazing!

Ahhh it was incredible, I think it was the very last song that was played befor the 'encore'. I was sure they played DJ culture but i didnt see it in the B&J setlist. Who knows, me and my friend sarah were so ed up that we kept hearing lyrics over everything, it was pretty funny- maybe i imagined that one too.

IM + Sasha will be a kick asss week end, very upset Marco V will not be there though- Shawn05's birthday week end :whip: :tongue3
