I left at about 9:00AM and was surprised to see that the hip-hop room was still pretty fkn packed. I mean, it's nothing in comparison to the trance room, but nonetheless.

Yea, on the poster it states its a 'urban culture festival' - this doesnt nessesarily mean they are refering to hip hop...
The term urban culture can mean a lot of things.... not just "yo yo home boy, whose chillin wit ma posse tonight? I gonna fuk u up in the shizzle fa dizzle if ya don"

| I have no idea what kind of people would honestly want to stand and listen to hip-hip for 12 hours of Swirl....To me that is absolutely ridiculous. I can listen to hip hop for maybe...3 minutes tops before it starts getting on my nerves. Raves are for EDM and ONLY EDM...I don't want hip hop music or people at my raves, because if they love hip hop so much they can't possibly understand the concept of a rave. |

| Yeah I dont get the hip hop thing at Swirl to me, some hip hop is good, like sweatshop union, no mainstream rap is good. Only some not so mainstream stuff that actaully has something to tell, other than them trying to say they;re gansas and shiz. "Raves" to me is about letting out emotions, trance and edm is made to express emotion and bring out emotions and feelings from you. Hip Hop just doesnt have emotion in the same way, you dont get that kind of feeling from it, they try to send messages across with rap. This makes no sense but yeah hip hop doesn't belong at swirl only edm. LONG LIVE EDM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
