and you are blaming us? you are the one proclaiming most of the opinions in this thread. Proxi was just saying that gabber cam from Holland and since she saw it develop, she knows what its actually about. Just cause its different in Canada doesnt mean she is wrong, OR insulting anyone. Seriously, you should really just chill a bit if you were really so worried about the drug use, you would prolly separate yourself from the scene, rather than just complain. Id rather deal with someone that is ing up their OWN lives with drugs than hear you bitch about everyone that doesnt agree with you wholeheartedly bse...:( increase the peace/ |

No, not really. Rather stating a reality. :) I'm 'proclaiming' most of the opinions on here, because I started the thread, therefor my opinion is what generated the discussion. I never wanted to get into a discussion about what a 'gabber' is. I don't care what other people think what makes one. I was stating that there are different cultures, and therefor different scenes in our Countries.
I am not worried about drug use, it just annoys me.. do I not have the right to complain, if nothing else. It was a topic that was bothering me, so I wrote about it. Sue me.
And do I not have a right to have a rebuttal to an argument? I'm not bitching, though perhaps I did get on the defensive side.. only after being called a 'disgrace' among other things. Just because it's different in Holland doesn't mean I am wrong, either.
Do you get my point? We are clearly on the opposite ends of the spectrum on this discussion, so where does that leave us? I don't know how I came out of this looking like the bad guy.. |

I live in Canada and one of the biggest gabber djs I know out east not only chomps on upwards of 5 pills every weekend but owns a presser and presses and sells 1000 pills every months to suppliment his income. (no names mentioned of course...cause if you're in the scene you've probly heard of him heh)
Drugs are in every scene, except maybe the super hardcore christian-vegan punk scene in vancouver (man those kids are fun to party with hehe), you just make your arguments seem invalid when you make generalizations like saying there isn't much drugs in the Canadian gabber scene...of course there is. There's drugs everywhere. Hell, I just found out my 50-something boss who listens to country music does mushrooms or coke when she goes out and parties haha!

I didn't say that there isn't drug use in the scene, I'm saying that it's not the drug-scene that Proximus makes it out to be. Obviously people are going to do drugs no matter where you are. That's a given. So what if *that* Dj presses all those pills? I don't respect him for it, but it's his choice. Let him eat cake.

ive gotta agree on that with BSE, when gabber was big here, u couldnt say gabber without some1 bringing up drugs, and when u talked about drugs, ppl started talking about gabber...
that really sucks, and even more for the ppl that dont really do drugs (and im not talking about weed, hash n stuff now), but still r into the scene... no1 likes to be related to smth hes not, right?? |

Arguing the same points over and over again, or finding something new to argue about just so you can prove someone else wrong is useless...we're all decent people on here, we just have our own opinions. I stated mine, miss proximum stated hers, bse stated his, gekhouse stated his...what's the point in trying to change eachother's minds? We're all entitled to our own opinions and quite franky you guys all rule in your own ways...what do we really care if we disagree with eachother? *wink*
