to be honest, if i got raped, i really would encourage my dad (dont have a brother) to not get involved because i wouldn't want him to end up behind bars....

besides orb u got off the point, i wasn't saying ur wrong for wanting to beat up (or possibly kill) a guy who raped ur mom or sister, i was just agreeing with echo about how u always say one thing, and then completely contradict it sort of..well u contradict what u claim to represent, that's all. |

I dunno it just seemed to me an unbelivably disrespectful (and personal) post really. 
You are saying there that she has "such and such" an outlook and saying that your view is realistic where as hers is somehow not.
As for the "understanding a mans position in socity" hmm thats a tough one these days with the metros and so on people even wearing pink shirts :eek: ;) it does become harder to understand our roles. :p
But to say that someone has no idea is a bit harsh, even if they are from, the other side as it were. :D
I'm gonna miss out the religon stuff tho... thats a whole other can of worms.

well, by the Grace and Forgiveness of God, hopefully He wont send me to Hell for defending a rape victim. He also says mind the laws of man as long as they do not go against His Word. Id say both, because one is saying there will be equivalent damage, but turn the cheek and let the law deal with it IF the law will deal with it. Rapists get off easssy. Miranda ADMITTED to raping 2 women and got completely off because "he didnt know he couldnt do that"
our system is historically flawed and im sure in the religious hierarchy rape SHOULD be more priority than 12 year old girls downloading songs off napster. Then again, im all screwed up apparently
Arguing Bible is ultimately futile because all is forgiven when asked. You have to be honest and genuine. I think some people are mixing up LIKING hurting people with hurting them. I stopped boxing years ago because I dont like it. Someone offered me 1000 dollars the other day to take a starling nest out of their house and kill the babies. Not even ty starling babies would I touch. Im not a fan of it, id much rather get drunk and around. You think I LIKE going up to people and having to deal with that . I am a huge fan of not having stress in my life.
I dunno, I guess im blind in my hypocracy. |

I guess the frustrating thing about bringing up my apparent contradicting personality is what the point of it is. I dont understand how that neccessarily delegitimizes my points. Instead of saying Orbax is a jerk therefore he cant be right, itd probably be more conducive to argue the points.
I was just havin a piss take with M@T cuz I dont know him, and I was laughing, but for the more serious parts of this, its just odd to make a point and then have someone say because of an apparent character trait logic is absent in the words.
Glad youd like something done about something that happened to you though. Id be a little wierded out if someone just stepped away and let the system deal with it.
also I think most of you are forgetting i love law, and want to go to law school. A lot of it is to change the priority systems to be more in line with euro standards. Drugs are a social concern, not a crime, and need treatment. Homeless same thing...we have too many things labeled as "crime" when its a product of our society. The fact that certain crimes get more attention therefore more sentencing is screwed up. Im surprised murder isnt a ticketable offense now because its so infrequently caught. In 10 years all the pot smokers will be lifers and the rapists will be city council members pushing for NAMBLA parades...

Agreed. religion is only arguable to other religious people. Ultimately a futile argument. I didnt bring it up though, although did feel like defending a certain point of view once it was used :D

it is the single biggest cause of human suffering since man walked this earth.
and yes i am reading Robert Jordan, the wheel of time series, great stuff and i am on the 3rd book at the mo, The Dragon Reborn :)
