well i really don't think that i'm that way. there is a reason i don't have a lot of guy friends and i think its really because i don't have things in common with them, this being one of them...

Pretending to be interested in her interests just to get laid isn't in my character. If I show interest in a girl's interests, it's legit. Especially if those interests happen to be classical, trance, heavy metal and/or rock music, soccer, hockey, foreign languages, and/or Jesus :D
As for sensitivity, that's how I roll. I could never live with myself for playing any mind games. Or if I cheated on the gf. |

What I do find I sometimes do is if I meet a girl who is single and I find attractive and I think is a cool person that I might work with, I kinda act a bit more reserved than my normal cooky self.
Kinda like, I'm not sure if people would get me at first, so I kinda ease them into the weirdness that is me.
If the girl is spoken for, I can just go full blown, and I have met some of my closest friends that way now, both were spoken for, so I didn't have any sort of 'impress them' floating in the back of my mind, and we just hit it off and have loads of fun.
One of the thigns I like about the internet is I can be myself completely due to the level of detachment.
Funnily, that exact aspect is often used in complete reverse by most people, who end have a totally different demeanour online. |

to the OP: your man is right -- all men absolutely want ass; everything else is just pretext/prelude to the fact. if they're not making direct overtures to get play, then they're thinking about it, at the very least.
"sensitive" guys who lament their lack of action and try to be "strictly platonic" with women are as pathetic as the womanizers they deride (but secretly want to emulate).
edit: you can genuinely find someone interesting, but that's usually an ancillary benefit which, of course, moves into the necessary column for long-term things. |
