It’s quite the opposite down here. I've run into a lot of girls who were dorky and made fun of in their school days, but now they’ve “blossomed” (in other words got nose jobs and boob jobs and became anorexic) and they’ve turned into insecure psycho stripper-types. lol
nah i'm not saying ALL the dorky girls turned out like that, but a good amount of them did from my school. |

I think you guys should reevaluate what's important. If you truly like a girl you need to look past the shallow barriers. Many highly attractive women do not bring anything good to the table but problems. Most think they are better than you and they are with you because "you're lucky." I've known so many girls like that and it really sucks because they're really not worth having a genuine guys heart. They will be the kind to think "I can have any guy I want, he should be thankful I am with him." Ugh I see it all the time and it gives good girls a bad reputation.
I firmly believe that if you are sincerely interested in the persons personality, it supercedes their looks...it has happened to me with guys in the past. Then again, men are different and don't think the same way and I can't expect them to. I'm not saying all attractive girls bring problems or have ty personalities though but it is rare to find a gorgeous girl possess all the traits a man is looking for. I think guys shouldn't be so shallow though, looks aren't everything. :) |

hahahah That’s for damn sure. I heard something similar one time from a girl. Something about every time you see a stud at the bar, trust me, there’s a girl out there who got rid of him for a reason. hahaha |

look, we're not saying that looks are more important, we're just saying that it's hard to find looks + personality...there HAS to be some sort of physical attraction for me, i'm sorry. that doesn't make me shallow.
now can u honestly tell me if this guy had a really good sense of humor and was kind and sweet and smart, you would be totally attracted to him?

I know that…the personality also plays a major role in how attractive the girl appears to be…but im a guy, heh..can do nothing about it, not trying to be shallow or anything…im willing to settle on looks but to a certen point.
Well, the whole reason I started this thread is cuz I got the number of this chick…from a friend, he told me she is super cool…he always hangs out with her and that she looks alright…so we started talking and I was amazed by how deep our conversations were, she had a great sense of humor and a great view and perspective on life…she was really smart too, we shared thoughts and opinions…I almost fell I could fall in love with her only by the characteristics of her personality…until we decided to meet up…I was soooo heavily disappointed by the way she looked, was the total opposite of what I imagined she will look like. It hurt me since I knew the feelings I had for her will now come to an end, she was totally into me at that point but I had to let her know that nothing other than friendship will happen between us.
It sucked…cuz that girl had the best personality I ever encountered, and I would so want to bring our relationship to another level, but it just couldn’t happen cuz of her appearance |

LOL I get you sheesh but I'm just saying that MANY guys not all think a girl has a kick ass personality and she is really not that ugly BUT they see her lacking a quality they want.
I never said you were shallow though!! :D I understand where you're coming from...perhaps I should reiterate what I said, depends on how "unattractive" the girl is because many guys will decide not to find a girl attractive because she has a flat ass, no or something ridiculous. I've seen a lot of that but maybe it's a different topic. You're right though, I wouldn't find him in the least bit attractive lol. There are a few exceptions though is all I meant and at times we could look past minor things. :p |
