in a "whats attractive to you" thread awhile ago, i remember putting
in a girl i like at least some of the below:
brown hair
blue/green eyes
short (5'0"-5'6")
physical quirks
great personality (talkative, even)
funny (borderline gross so i can make fun of her :p )
theres more but its just gotta feel right!
in our society, some girls tend to:
look good
act super flirty
guys:
great personality
funny
genuine
cocky
i think that if ur a guy and you fit those descriptions, girls are all over you no matter what.
i swear to god i saw a guy in a wheelchair at a bar pick up a 10 (on the hotness scale) by simply being himself (the traits above) and he came back the next day and described the sex :eek:
prob w/ the girls described above is, as slylee said, they are completely shallow and this is saddening for me...
theres hot girls here who say they want the perfect guy... theyre all single all the time even tho tons of guys hit on them 24/7 so they concentrate on their looks to hopefully get mr. right, and by the time that mr. right comes along, theyve obsessed over their looks to the point that they have nothing unique to offer him save what one can see w/ the naked eye :(
and then they become bitches :p |

Well, the whole reason I started this thread is cuz I got the number of this chick…from a friend, he told me she is super cool…he always hangs out with her and that she looks alright…so we started talking and I was amazed by how deep our conversations were, she had a great sense of humor and a great view and perspective on life…she was really smart too, we shared thoughts and opinions…I almost fell I could fall in love with her only by the characteristics of her personality…until we decided to meet up…I was soooo heavily disappointed by the way she looked, was the total opposite of what I imagined she will look like. It hurt me since I knew the feelings I had for her will now come to an end, she was totally into me at that point but I had to let her know that nothing other than friendship will happen between us.
It sucked…cuz that girl had the best personality I ever encountered, and I would so want to bring our relationship to another level, but it just couldn’t happen cuz of her appearance |
I understand you completely!! The only reason I said what I did was because I once liked this guy and he told me I had a great personality but he only saw me as a friend. Which was totally code for "I'm not attracted to you", he was letting me down easy and I knew it and it made me feel like total but I do get you and no matter how much we deny it, looks will play a role on how we see a person. Physical attraction does have to be there. |

i think the key to the equation is modesty.
to be honest i hear that i'm attractive a lot from lots of girls, but i'm so messed up and have such issues with my appearance that i'm self-concious and reserved...

| Oh man... this happens a lot with me heh...all the chicks that I find very compatible to me and with whom I get along great, I can only see them as friends, but to whom I have no attraction tours.. but on their side, they always end up falling for me .. creating... DRAMA .. that tells u that chicks one really want are hard to get, and once you have it, think twice before letting go. |

Other than the Harvard thing, you just about described me just now. Kind of funny. I was the total dorky, smart kid up until the middle of college, and I kind of had my butterflying effect from there. I guess that's why girls get so attached, which I didn't really understand. |

Not that I make a habit of judging guys, but I definitely expected Jason to be this little nerd guy, and it was surprising to see a normal guy that you could tell the girls would like. That's why we compete at the club. J/K :p |

i dont know if i have either...... some people tend to think so, some people don't.
either way- it doesn't bother me cuz everyone is bound to enjoy something different or hate something different about me or you anywayz.
did that make sense? lol
anywayz- when i look at a girl, it's all about looks....then if she opens her mouth and is a total dumbass....pEACE!
she's gotta have it all, and that's hard to find....but it's out there. |

| Didn't read the whole thread and don't really have anything to add besides the fact I choose personality over looks any day but whoever mentioned Claire Danes in Romeo & Juliet hits the nail right on the head. Gorgeous. |
