Well it should only get better from here, with our ageing lot and most of your guys are youngish aren't they? We love a bit of tall poppy syndrome over here but after dominating cricket so much over the past few years it is much more interesting to see a good contest. :)

I think you just need 11 Brett Lee's, he's playing with so much spirit, and had it not been for him, we might be looking for a 3-1 win in this match & to clinch the ashes. He's showing the heart that you need some of the others to. |

| what a massive 6 by lee :eyespop: haha as good as flintoff last week! what is going wrong? just can't seem to hold on, i turned it on and gilly and katich were going great guns, went for a walk down the street to the atm, come back 20 mins later and we've lost 4 wickets!! far out. now hayden has lost it again, at the end of this series i think there'll be a bit of soul searching by a few players. hopefully we can knuckle down and get a good score today, and be at least competitive for the remaining 2 days. |

Maybe (and this would make more sense if he was playing better than he is) but promote Katich to open and bring Hussey in. But in reality Katich should probably go too. |

I honestly think you guys need some fresh blood. My suggestion for an 11 would be
Langer
Clarke
Ponting
Hodge
Hussey
extra batsman, youngster given a run etc.
Gilchrist
Lee
Warne
McGrath
Tait |

Jeez, you ARE shaking things up!:p
I don't think Clarke has the maturity nor experience to open the batting yet, but I really don't have an alternative suggestion other than what I've said.
And it might be worth giving young James Hopes the spare spot in your list. I think Watson has consistently shown he's not up to international level in any form, give Hopes a shot and we may finally find the allrounder we've been searching so long for. |

see. Flintoff had 3 years of showing only glimpses, then we went to india in late 2001 and early 2002 and he suddenly stepped upto the game with the ball, that took some of the stick off him and his batting in the last 3 years has been more consistant than it had been, although like yesterday, he still disappoints in the end at times |
