I respect opinions when they are valid. We all know Mario's style around these boards and ive had 1/2 PM's with him tonight about certain things but having the opinion of keeping this situation how it is, when it obviously isnt working (in its current state) just to force several people off the forum isnt acceptable. TA atleast from birth to 2004 was built on a friendly vibe, and having things that force people off the forums isnt acceptable, regardless whose opinion they are. |

So i wouldn't put such an emphasis on mario's "reason" for wanting it to stay together. I think his reason lies more within his lack of wanting to click another forum button :haha: |

If you people think that by dividing the FLorida section will be free of BS, then Im afraid that to many of you that will not be true.. I might be wrong. I voted for the division as it seems that the internet and the people in it are not that sophisticated to overcome a problem that has been evolving for months. I feel sorry for the stress that Scott might be sucking in as he moderates, hence he will get Bash for not doing something by a group or members, or get bashed by some other group of members as he patrols and control. Honesty, respect, and no Dick Sucking would b best to solve the issues, but when everyone jumps into either bandwagons, its always a mess, and will keep on happening. Until then, if this does get divided, I hope Swamper chooses someone wise and smart to moderate for the Miami ( FLORIDA ) section.. someone that has contributed positively into TA.. weather locally or generally without the BS.. to me that seems as the next worry some heh ( I hope Im wrong )...Ive been a member since 2000.. so as longest this helps for the better, then Im for this division. Good Luck.

Dont worry about the mod. im gona personally see the mod is suited all round before they become mod there. |

I think I changed my mind. Simply because of distance and tons of different events, make it Florida forum and Georgia + whoever else forum.

Okay, I don't get involved in the drama or post in these type of threads simply for this reason. Even after I met all the ATL TA's and even a few of the FL TA's almost 2 years ago, I was still hesitant about creating an account and posting because new people, imo, get bashed. I felt that even though I had known a few of you for awhile, anything I had to say would be ridiculed if I didn't say the right "online lingo" or agree with someone's critique of music.
Even though I feel this way, I don't think that dividing the forum would accomplish anything. People have problems with bashing and spamming, but like the main spammers have said (Pink, Mario, Stephen...still luv you guys)they won't stop even if the division happens.
As far as the bashing goes, we are all adults, be nice and don't call people out if you don't like them. With any group, there will be people who don't like eachother. There are certain individuals that I don't particularly like, I don't like or agree with their posts, but I have never blatantly been rude to them in this forum.
Bottom line, I have made a great group of friends from TA and I have also met a lot of great people whether they are Miami, Orlando, Gainesville, SC or wherever the hell TA.
So here's my vote:
1. Don't divide the forum.
2. Create rules to deal with the issues of spamming and bashing. Everyone votes on them, they are posted, and no one can whine if they get suspended because they know exactly what the rules are.
3. And if it would help Scott, another mod is a good idea. |

I voted to keep the forums the same.....spamming will continue either way. We're grown (at least most of us seem to be) & it should be dealt w/ in a mature manner.

it's not ALL about the spamming.. it's not all about the bashing!!!!!!!!
it's the fact that FL has a scene here...
and atl has the scene ~~~~~~~~~~> there
it's just too much going on! Alot of unecessary things for the both of us. If florida gets their own section then we won't have to go sifting through what is non sense and what isnt.
Edit: Please do not post things if u didn't read all 11 pages!!
I have more then once quoted the fact that its not an atlanta / miami thing.... and when it gets seperated it wont be a city section. COUP is from ENGLAND and did this thread quickly just to see results.. now stop being so picky! When it gets seperated it will be more WIDERRRRRRRRRRRRR :rolleyes: |

... I think it would make a bunch of people happier! Look at the majority of the posts. Melly is the only one really pushing for the whole, "We have our events here and you have yours and I am sick of looking at your stuff if it does not concern me"! (Which by the way, I do not believe is valid after Scott made the sticky thread for events..) People are sick of the useless spam and whoring by DA, Pink, Mario... (Sorry guys, I love 2 out of 3 of you!) So set rules and try it out to see if that fixes the problem. What is a few months of trial? Even if the forums were to split, I think there needs to be ground rules set into place. If people can not follow the rules like adults then they should be suspended. It is a shame that it has come to that but, the needs of the majority to have a clean forum has to outweigh the wants of the minority to post constant . If people do not think that is fair then they have the right to leave. No one made them post and no one is entitled to "freedom of speech" on a forum that they don't own. Go start a blog for that crap.
With all that being said, I would like to recant my vote to split the forum for the better idea to keep them like they are and set ground rules. |
