Opinion of turning this forum into 2, Atlanta & Miami (pg. 12)

1.. it's not only me.. it's Neil.. Ambs... DA.. DAMON *mind u he can't post ;)* and a bunch of other ones that VOTED but dont even bother to reply.
Let's face.. the first two options are pushing for a division of the forum.. whether it be 1 mod or 2. So in the end division wins.
And do you really think rules again spamming/bashing will work. I mean seriously. That is offensive to people who have big ass mouths :toothless
the rules wouldn't ever work and would cause more of a seperation.
Yes spamming/bashing/Useless threads have to deal with the division.
So no sense in keeping the forum together. |

The first thing that needs to occur when Miami and Atlanta are separated is forcing Xyzpdq0121 to pick a less extraterrestrial s/n.

Seriously, I think it has become pretty damn obvious in the last few months, as well as in this thread, that a separation is the only feasible option at this point. "Oooh, but let's work through the problems instead." No, that's something you tell your wife when you're married and having problems - that does not apply on a music board.
So, divide the forums and then call me up. We'll all do lunch. |

OK so to be fair and to see your side, I counted up the current threads on page one of the forum of the posts that were not sticky there were: (Back to <>Astral Projection Live <>Wed Aug 03 <>Miami<> TranceMiami 11 123 Yesterday 01:35 - TranceMiami )
11 have to do with Florida events
4 have to do with Atlanta events
15 have to do with random topics "Happy B-day", "Help", "What are you listening to at this very moment?".
How much scrolling are you, Neil, Ambs, DA and DAMON having to do? Currently 4 posts out of 30 have to do with us? Not to be rude, but you can not scroll through 4 posts that YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO OPEN? That is 24 hours of posts and you had to sift through 4?!? Be still my heart. I don't mean to sound sarcastic but give me a break. I have to scroll through 11 of your events to read my 4 and you do not see me bitching! So I decided to try to see your point again and figured it was the 4 + 15 random posts that your were upset about... It has already been said that people are going to post random crap in each forum. SO you will have the same random threads that we do up here, Javi will just have to cut and paste it from one place to the other. So splitting the forums does not solve any issue. At least with guidelines, people can stop getting their feelings hurt and maybe some of the random posts will diminish. Can't hurt to try... If you do not like it come the first of the year... I will make you your own web forum where you can only read what you want to post as my x-mas gift to you. :tongue3 |

Stop taking it like you guys wont be allowed to post in the other section. It will be the same thing just cleaner and more calm!
edit: and 1 more thing. it used to be the FLORIDA section and i'm not trying to say it's better than any other state.. but I think when more and more people were starting to post that they should have started a new section for the SE. Not a big deal you guys! Remember that. |

as far as im concerned, i dont spam random bull, i just speak my thoughts a lot.....in many places.......at random times in the day and night.....and so it makes me seem like i post a lot, and so on....but in reality, i just have a lot on my mind ALL THE TIME.
I dont need a reason to post, i just like to post. I love TranceAddict. I don't post here for the music, or for the threads, or even for the members.......i post here because i Love it here.

Excellent, see this has been my opinion the entire time, I know so many people involved that it pains me to see all of this happen.
While I realize that there are different scenes involved I really believe that this is not the real problem. The real issue is that some of the FL TA's cannot get over the loss of the FLTA to begin with. There are many US divisions that are much bigger and more diverse than the SETA. If anyone would care to count there are FIVE regional forums for the US.

And just as an example one of them include all of Callifornia AND Washington. There is no question that (for example) that forum contains more cultural differences and vastly seperated scene's than the SETA.
People,
give me a break. This is about some peoples egos being unable to accept not having a forum narrowed down simple to them.
End of story.
Having said that I admit that I voted to seperate, not because I want to or think its a good idea. But simply because I think that certain people will never be able to accept the current situation and they refuse to stop bringing it up.
Even in situations that are irrelevent to the question. |

agreed, since this is also true, i would vote for separation. the only thing worse than having the forums combined is having to hear about why they aren't separated. |

it seems like there a alot more issues at hand than everybody thinks..
1- spamming
2- power trips
3- different scenes
4- personal issues with other TA'S
5- useless threads (considered by others)
i've been reading all of what's been going on & I see different opinions & view points as well as differences.
I'M NOT TAKING FLTA's SIDE NOR ATL TA's SIDE. THIS IS MY OPINION & NOT AN ARGUEMENT
The way i see it. FL does have a wide variety of events/ gatherings/ parties etc etc.... if not more than atl.
Atl also has the same amount of parties/gatherings/events...
but yet..
Peeps claim TA should be about some things & not others.
peeps also claim some things should be posted & some things shouldn't. Why is that an issue?
is this not a message board?? If someone reads & KNOWS its not a thread that pertains to their likings, why start up such a commition cuz THEY did not like it & then begin to BASH on the threads. i enjoy reading random posts & replies from EVERYONE (meaning all TA's)

peeps from ATL say we argue (meaning FLTA's) & bitch about things..
first of all I will back up FLTA's as i will back up ATl TA's for any bickering that someone may reply or post about them on any thread.
BUT
I DO NOT ANSWER FOR NO ONE & ESPECIALLY NO ONE WILL ANSWER FOR ME.
If i wanna shoot the with Mr PInk & nchos09 or any other TA for that matter for whtever reason on TA the other members who know if the thread is not there cup of tea, then y click on it & read it.
I AM FOR THE SPLIT... WITH 2 DIFF MODS...
BUT THIS WHOLE DILEMA THE WAY I SEE IT IS BECAUSE LIKE SOMEONE POSTED ON ANOTHER PAGE....
because some of the threads are not to there likings. (whether it be FLTA or ATLTA). from my point of view... its from both sides.
SO I hope the split goes through & JAVI & MARIO you guys would be welcomed to SPAM all you wanton the FLORIDA section. wouldn't phase me.
besided at least all the parties promoting threads will be split, letting them belong to their own forum.
