vtec, u mentioned in ur early posts that it sucks nowadays cz its so commercial and its not like before.
can u tell me wuts the problem with that? or is that just bothering u? i guess u just dont want others listening to the same music u do.
the point im trying to make here is that its not the way u want the music to go, and u dont even know the way it will go. just because its not the way u want it doesnt mean it sux, it just sux for u.
i dont care how many raves uve been to, seems like ur days have passed lol. so will mine someday.
it sux just cz this music is getting a bit more commercial? it sux in a way to become commercial, but thats why they create music nowadays. i mean if u release an album with a record company, u already turned commercial. why would u release an album and get a record deal, just for the fun of it? just for the hell of it?
the music goes the way the musicians want it to go, not the way u want it. if u dont like it, thats ur problem and ur loss.
now ur answer will be: "no , thanx for telling me things i already know u dumbass. how does this relate to something i said? it was good only back in the days, all u guys missed it out."
i respect u for knowing alot about this stuff, but makin personal comments and referring to them as facts is dumb. u dont like tiesto, dont buy his s.

when i was at the concert, i just remember lookin at tiesto when he entered, and i didnt even look at him again til he left. but some ppl just feel blessed cz they were there and now they think theyre the . i hope that u dont think that ppl only go to the concert just so they feel like theyre part of something big. i went, i enjoyed the music, and was amazed by the sound system, the few thousand ppls energy around u kind of gives u an extra hype, and most important was the music, it was very uplifting.
i basically consider this experience as if i was eating at a cheap pizza restaurant where the food is great, or eating at a fancy restaurant where the food is as great as the cheap place. now dont get bitchin about 'so TIC is fancy and clubs arent?'.
by saying fancy, i mean bigger, different environment, an environment thats not ordinary.

That is just bad business and poor planning. My point is....back in the day, it didn't take weeks, even days to set up for a frigging edm set. The DJ came to the club, played his set, and that was that. This whole concert bull is totally pathetic. Yeah TIC in Amsterdam was cool and all but when I really sit back and think about it.....Tiesto's set that night wasn't that great at all.....everything else that went on that night was.....but that doesn't exactly make it special. Special would be Tiesto bangging it out at the old Glow years ago or totally blowing up Space in Miami to an awesome crowd of people that were there for the music. |
God, I hate to resurrect this thread...but, while I was checking out info on Glow for Armin in a few weeks, I saw that Tiesto's playing a Thursday show there on October 20th. I guess this is to make up for the cancelled TIC, so at least he's giving the people who wanted to attend something. It may not be a DJ Copperfield performance, but maybe he'll play a good set for you DC fans who will be going for the music rather than the spectacle. |
