Seths mom looks like she is aging pretty well actually. When you get closeups of her you can tell she is an older woman. And Marrisas mom is just supposed to be the hot MILF so it makes sense that she looks young.

I agree, the opening song is ing horrid....
as a matter of fact there is only one track in the whole 2 seasons of the show that was really good.. its from the first season:
