I dont know what went on at the oakie party since i wasnt there. But i just caught tiesto4life making up stuff in his review when i was clearly there for the other parties and saw the whole thing.
Thats what im pissed off at.
Its OK to say "i dont like this guy's music" but there is no need to make stuff up. ESPECIALLY when you arent even there to begin with. |

understandable Jay, but he was at a the solo night last weekend and he was there last night.. i don't know about the other event for sure though..
I am just simply stating the fact that it seems we have to watch what we say in our posts now in fear of pissing someone else off.. when in fact it is our opinion only.. what does it really matter honestly? |

go back and read my critique. I barely mentioned the oakie night. I was calling him on all the other events he critisized. Mostly events that i was there for till the end and he wasnt. One event that he even reviewed even though he was 400 km away at the time.
Go figure. |

maybe he needs to come online and clairy himself then.
I am almost positive he was all at the parties except for maybe the one in Windsor.. but whatever he thinks of MO is his opinion anyhow.. how many times have you seen other dj's bashed on this forum?? who happen to be our favourites, or we have a lot of respect for. Until you know for sure whether he was at those event or not maybe you should be so harsh in your posts. |

| To Jayx1: Listen calm down buddy, this is a review thread about what people thought about the event, not an "attacking other people's music opinions" thread. Read my posts the second and the third time and maybe you'll understand what I was saying. Do not just jump into the attack if you read it once and didn't understand something. Like Jenn said, read our reviews. I didn't like Cattaneo that much, she loves him, but that's our difference in taste for music and i'm not attacking her for that. ANd just to clarify something, I was there for pretty much the entire night for Oliver's 9hr solo session set with other TA's, all of them who thought Oliver was playing bad. And I was there for MIKE and Oliver's closing set. And once again, when I say everyone left after he came on, that is b/c he wasn't playing his best, and if the rest of the cracked out community remained there till the very end, that is b/c they are on drugs and they don't care what music is on. I wasn't there for his windsor gig but I had several friends attending that night and they all said that Oliver didn't play well, that he span house and it was a bit boring. And last night I was there till the end again and almost ALL the TA's said that Oliver was crap once again. Dude, like a wrote in my original review: oliver was much much MUCH better in the summer! And lately he hasn't been spinning as good. That was the entire point from this perspective!! And I think that most TA's will agree with me on this one! You can't play prog the entire closing set after Oakie was on just b4 you. You need the climax. And Oliver never had that last night. Anyway, don't wanna waste too much time here, but all in all, you gotta relax on other people's opinions. |

you are missing the point. Its not about bashing somebody. Its about getting your facts straight. Dont go around saying that a whole club walked out on a dj just because you and your friends left. If your not feeling it then fine... but dont make up on a public message board and expect to get away with it. |

So the deduction here is that if you stay until the end unless you are a TOTA then you "must" be on drugs or some sort of cracked out loser? Wow you certianly are digging yourself in deeper with this comment arent you?

Like i said, TAs dont run the scene. There are thousands of others to cater to than a select group of 50 individuals.

i have always respected your opinion. What i dont respect is the attitude that you and your friends run the place and that everyone else who IS having fun don't matter because since they don't share your taste in music they must be crackheads. At least your rea; feelings finally came out in your rebuttle.

like i said, i havnt heard mark play much prog in awhile. But i cant really comment on that sat because i wasnt there. |

When MOST tranceaddict leave b/c they think the dj isn't playing well, that is when I consider people don't like the gig. Dude, i was there till 5:30 for his solo sessions set, it wasn't as packed as you think it was. Whatever i'm done with this stupid misunderstanding of yours. Oliver was better this summer than he was this past week. If you disagree that is fine with me. You have ur own opinions, I have my own. Let's keep them to ourselves. But in the end, most TA's will agree with me that MO wasn't good this week. |

| Oakie did really really well i must say, I was impressed!! I danced my ing ass off on the BOILING HOT stage, let's just say I lost like 5 pounds in sweat, and my clothing, forget about it, DRENCHED!! But it was so worth it! He played some amazing traxx, luv'd it! |

This is a TranceAddict site last night I checked and not a site for all random people on Toronto to come out and post their thoughts. Only TranceAddicts post here!! Anyhow dude, let's close conversation, i had a rough day today, need lots of rest, still haven't slept normally. If you were there last night, you would also say that MO plays better normally than he did last night. Maybe not. It's your opinion and I can appreciate that. It's music and music cannot be the same!!!
P.S. just to say my point one last time, i've always enjoyed mark's sets, specially this summer when i thought he was interaction and understanding what the crowd wants and needs. however, this week i thought he was poor. agree or disagree that is my opinion. |
