feel free to motivate why mate...

I usually just ignore people like you but to be honest I'm getting really ing tired of people dissing a certain type of sound or a certain artist just to act cool and try to be like the rest of the "cool guys" in the scene.

-First of all, what gives guys like you the right to say what's good and what's not?

-and second, who the are you anyway?

learn to tolerate others opinions or just shut the up...

So, there may be a good reason to kill this thread. It's kinda big and cluttered. It mihg tbe cool to gather all the ideas and make a supersaw sticky that's just a couple of post on all the ideas found here. Or some way to clean this up.

What do you think?
Four_On_Four-er
Any thread that's been around this long is bound to get "cluttered". Uncluttering a thread is really making another one -- and I'm not so sure that's warranted. It's rather a fond discussion, in spite of any near-sighted feedback from either side.

following Vizay...

and third, just because a thread has been around for a long time doesn't mean it should die. there are many people who join this forum everyday and haven't even seen it until now and may wish to comment and discuss things. (Even if it's just to honor and give respect and admiration to the greatest trance sound of all time.) And then there are people like myself who are not necessarily new but had not really read it all until recently and had anything to say.

to say a thread should die just because it's been around a long time is absurd. If there was a big long thread on mixing, mastering, or any other production techniques, do you think it should die also? that there is never anything new to be added and/or learned? thats insane. If you don't have anything constructive to say then please don't post.

this thread is kind of a stickie already, it's linked in the one big sticky thread that has links to all "good to have threads" already.

i'm thankful for the thread cuz vizay had kinda inspired me in a way or another in making my own supersaw (although it's from a cheapo 3xosc). least i picked up some good tips along the way (in the thread). thanks for the thread, i appreciate it.

wow that's really cool to hear :)
that was one of my main points with creating this thread. I want people to explore this sound more and find new uses for it. The time when you use the supersaw as in Rank 1 - Airwave is past since long now and I keep hearing new ways of using the sound and new ways to create it every day. After all exploration is what drives most of us to keep creating music :)

well said, vizay
Eldritch
For anyone who uses Reason (version 3.0), here's a supersaw combinator patch I made. It's very basic and clean sounding, most suitable for pluck leads and background stuff. It has two "waveform" modes. An octave shift button (It shifts the secondary oscs down one octave).

This thread has been really useful to me. I've learned alot.
I wouldn't want it to die.

Vizay
eldritch that was impressive, most impressive! :)
I was personally not that fond tho of your eqing where you cut out all the low frequenceis but that's more a matter of taste and easily fixed ;)

overall one of the absolutley best supersaw sounds for reason I've heard...if not the best :)

This guy is realy easily fired up, this is just too much. Suicidal maniac if yo ask me. I'm not dissing a certain sound or artist at all, I don't know where you got that information.
