First of all, I wasn't with him when this happened, otherwise I would've made sure to take his keys and not let him drive last night. That's all over with and I have to ask another question right now.
My roommate got drunk and drove home to the apartment last night. Yes he is a dumbass and I already blasted him for drinking and driving to begin with. He hit a wall or something last night. He's not really sure. The damage to his car is a long scractch down the driver's side and his front quarter panel is pretty banged up and bent.
My question is, in this situation do you call and tell your parents the truth, you were drinking and driving and you hit something? Or do you make up an excuse?
I told him to say that a deer ran out and hit him, because his dad will probably go ballistic if he found out he drank and drove. The thing is, if you look at the car, it's kind hard to say that a deer hit you...and then slid down the whole entire driver's side all the way to the rear quarter panel. Either way, his dad is going to find out when he drives home for the break.
So truth about what happen? Or make up a story...and if so, what should he say? |

| The best option would be to ask the roommate for some money so you won't tell his parents. After that you can charge him an extra sum for helping him come up with a good lie. |

I suggested that, but you have to file a police report or something don't you? At least his dad would say to do that, and if my roommate did, he could get in trouble for false claim.
And I don't think he can get it fixed, at least not without his parent's help. I told him bodywork could cost him at least a couple grand. and he can't afford that.
Hold on i've got pictures of the damage coming up. |

| That's a pretty bad dent. I'm guessing at least $600 to fix it. |
