Worst pain/illness/injury you've ever felt?

i had appendicitus one year, and that was excruciating. it was a friday, a day just like any other day. by the evening, i started feeling a slight pain in my abdomen. by 5am the next morning, i was in the emergency room in the worst pain ive ever felt. im not one to cry often, but this brought me to tears. my dad also had it, and he was an olympic wrestler, strong guy. even he cried from the pain. i definatly wasnt thinking about food, but i was getting very dehydrated, but i couldnt keep even water down for long. thank god for IV and intravenous fluids.

thats not the end of. i went into surgery really quickly, and when i woke up 3 hours later, the pain was even worse. they cut off my appendix and cut through my abdominal muscles, which u use to pee, walk, sit up, twisting of the torso, almost every body movement. just breathing hurt, and i have all this phlegm in my throat from the tube they put in my lungs. even talking. even people talking to me. my mum was asking me, "how do u feel, do u want anything, are u going to answer me?" i just quietly and slowly said, "please dont talk." the morphine was good for one thing only. to knock me out, as the pain was so bad, i could did not want to even be awake.

coincidentally, 2 years later, i had a weak stomach wall, and i went through 3 days of pain just like that above. sedation.

Mono. Had it for 2 months. I wasn't meant to play soccer, so I did. Made things worse.

i was about 5-7 years old (don't remember) playing with my sister and the apartment door. For those who know,NYC apartment doors are metal plated and close on their own. To sum up the door chopped my finger off and it was hanging by a nerve and a bone i think. I cried and went to the hospital where they restitched my finger back to place while i was awake. Don't worry the doctor sedated my hand so it was numb.

I was cleaning a grill at this resturaunt I worked at when I was 16. We used hot grease and a piece of sandpaper under a spatula type thing. Well I pulled it back too far the lip at the end of the grill and the grease splashed on my right wrist.

I held it up and looked at it for a moment before the pain set in and I wiped it off and mistakenly ran it under cold water (never do that for grease burns). Went to the hospital and got good burn cream...but before that, I sat in my room balling cause it hurt soooooo much.

th eblister was a lil over 1/4" thick and covered my wrist up to my thumb. it was fun when the doc poppe dit cause that didn't hurt....

I hung out with the boys in the neighborhood when I was a kid, and then all through highschool (there werent any girls, anyways). We used to play pretty rough... football, baseball, homerun derbies, etc. At night we played ghost in the graveyard between three of our yards. One night I had the bright idea to hide in a tree, and I climbed way far up. I didnt think about it though, because when they found me I couldnt get down fast enough so I just jumped off a branch and tried to grab another one, but I guess it was too dark and I didnt judge my depth right and the branch never came. I fell 12 feet face first and broke both my wrists when I put my arms out to break my fall. I screamed bloody murder that night.

Though that is comparable to the summer after my sophomore year when I got real sick with tonsilitis and had to be taken to the ER the 5th day in. They tried for 3 hours to get an IV in me for fluids but couldnt because I was so dehydtrated.

Surgeons who use staples are lazy.
