What I find rediculous is that these cops are so poorly trained that 15 people couldnt disarm a person with a knife. Usually when you go through training, you are taught how to disarm people using many different kinds of weapons.
But in any case, no matter what city you are in - if you resist arrest and attempt to stab a cop, you WILL be shot. This has nothing to do with racism. |

plus if there were 15 cops....10 shots fired....that means only if each cop fired 2 rounds, only 1/3 of them are racist. |

He's a big guy. He's about to stab a police officer. He's moving. Now, do you shoot at the big, mostly stationary and easy to track target of his chest, or do you try to pull a Max Payne and slow down time so you can be sure to clip his calf, and hope that that's enough to bring him down?

You've got to be kidding? So you don't even try to use non-lethal force?
You back the subject into a corner (against a parked car as reports said) and try to approach him? Then you're all surprised that he lunges at you? Anyone who's been around a dog would know to act differently unless they were looking for a reaction from an obviously unstable individual. Why wouldn't you clip him in the leg after he refused to surrender the knife? Surely one of the 15 officers could've hit him. And if they couldn't then that says something much worse about the police in your so called UNITED states of idiocy. |

I agree with you on the shooting in the leg part, but not the racism. It is ridiculous for cops to bust a cap in a man 10 times when an easy shot to the leg would have done the trick or even better, the cops where I live use tasor guns for minor situations. These type of guns shoot bolts of electricity into a person instantly incapacitating the individual without injuring him/her. |
