| I think the cops probably couldhave used a little better decision making, but this is far from racist. As someone else said, if you lunge at a cop with a weapon, you will be shot. |

| its pretty obvious they didn't need to use deadly force. they had him surounded in the open. could have shot him in the leg, tasered, peppered him, or brought in a dog. |

He was clearly a man with some age on his belt. Simply set a lower voltage and don't aim at the heart.

Cops are trained to shoot in specific areas of the body without killing the person. This unfortunate situation with the New Orleans guys is simply a lack of better training. |

In case you're not aware those guns they use don't have different settings on them. Sorry this isn't Star Trek and we can't set the phasers to stun.

| I know full well what their capabilities and what they're trained to do. Shooting him in the triangle between his two eyes and above the nose is the incapacitating zone. One shot, one kill, no worries. |
