In Toronto recently, a very violent city here in Canada, a man was shot by the second officer on the scene because he was stabbing the first officer. The first officer realized he wasn't dealing with a stable man and continued to pepper stray the criminal even after he began stabbing him in his bulletproof vest. He could have easily shot him dead like the NO cops did, but he actualy had regard for human life. Obviously the NO cops could have called for a taser or even a long pole used by anumal control. Thye chose to go at the suspect knowing he was unstable. What a waste of life.
I'm not surprised in the least since the US spends 5 Billion a month on war and only 2.3 Billion on AIDS in the past year or so.
This reminds me of the guy who didn't yell bomb and got shot in Miami. No regard for people with mental illness.
Please no more responses from people in Texas. You live in a state that kills people even though your religion's first rule is not to kill. Clearly killing has been inbedded into your brains from a young age. Therefor, your view is biased. So STFU. |
When you start using irrelevant information to try to back up your stance, and bashing a nations policies on allocation of funds your entire argument becomes void.
Blanket statements, and strawman arguments don't work either. You lose. |

so basically what you're saying is...
that tactics like pepper spray and non-lethal force are not always effective.
instead the Canadian cop allowed himself to get stabbed repeatedly, putting himself at risk, until his partner could shoot him...
way to justify the opposite point and not your own! |

Ten shots but they don't know how many actually hit the man. Perhaps the first few missed and the next few only enraged the man. Until further details are released about the shooting this is all speculation. |

no I'm saying that some people have regard for human life. The toronto cop knew that being stabbed wasn't going to kill him, he wanted to avoid killing the attacker, and instead tried to subdue him. Yes, the suspect was eventualy shot, but at least the cops tried to save his life. |
