WOW.......just getting home for the first time since Aria......

After reading the depressing reviews of celebration, it gives me great pleasure to post my review of Aria.

Met Tag and E-trance on the way to Aria at about 11:30 PM and convinced the boys to come with us to Aria....GOt in...there was a surprising amount of people for that early and Maus had the vibe set nicely. Met Nick (Mitzuranza) there going hard right in front of the DJ booth, he loves his Maus!!! Stayed pretty low key throughout the change to the 1st, and until Creator started....Then Creator got on and went offfffff. Shortly after Anne came in with her sis and friend, great gals, very fuin to party with!! And Anne, I know you wanted to stay and left anyways, but no worries, we'll party hard for Porterhouse on the 20th...for your Birthday!!!
Creators set was sick, for the most part of it, I was in the Dj booth with him going nucking futs. but some choons I couldn't contain myself and hit the middle of the dancefloor!!! After an AMAZING warm up, Creator played one of my favorite tracks... Planet Funk - The Switch (King Unique Remix) and Anne and myself went bollistic...the stage was set for Sharam...
Sharam started off the way he used to back in the day...This was not to be a cheeze night of pop house, this was to be a deeeeeeeeep DISH night!!! Sick Sick Sick set he played and the rolling stones remix about 2 hours in...GOOOOOOSEBUMPS....Sick set, and aftre his set this summer at Aria, I feel he redeemed himself somewhat, he really put a lot of though and care into his mixing and set...Deep Dish never dissapoints........
Danny Danny Danny......This would be the first time I had ever seen Danny.....And no faking way will it be the last....He started off with some deep chunky prog...and to be honest a little slow at the beginning...so much so, that some people had started leaving at around 10-11!!!
At this point right at the end of Sharams set the peeps who were at Lawler had started coming intpo Aria for Dannys set. Got to meet Nachos09 Mario you're insane mate...see you at the next biggie no doubt, ATL Trancer - Gavin!!! Next time no power naps!!!! You're staying awake and coming with!!! Ferrari and Disco Kandi came in as well nice to meet you guys, ferrari with the long white towel dancing like the running man...pricelss!
And of course at this point as well, the 2 party gals came in....MagicB - Jenn, and Stereohead - Erika!!! You gals were awesome...and Erika...holy fakin Danny...blowin kisses to ya from the Dj booth!!! ninja.
Anyways most of the people had cleared out by 11:30...the Danny turned on the lights..and said his thanks....but this was not to be the end....
Danny decided to play another track.......OMYINGGOD...Nick I know you know the track he played and I expect you to post it!!!!and then he turned the lights off again, and played the sickest hour of deep progressive for lingering crowd that stayed...this was the crowd that no matter what would have stayed to the end...and Danny did more than redeem himself from the first hour or 2...but is now on my list of sickest djs live...The talent in his mixing is seriously sick...three decks at once most of his set..I mean you can tell he really likes to play. Which is refreshing...he played the sexiest beats....And DOES ANYONE WHO THE NAME OF THE LAST TRACK HE PLAYED?????? BEST TRACK I'VE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE.....NO CONTEST
Then off to hang out and "chill" out with Nachos, ATl, and MagicB and Taggers. We didn't sleep much and next thing i knew, I was at Parking having a conversation with DONALD GLAUDE 4 $ cover at Parking sunday night for 4 hours of Donald GLaude!!!! What a nice guy, very firendly, and very hungover he told me!!! I can't say I stayed for his set though, Parking was full, and had 2 women in the entire place...and they were bartenders....SO needless to say I felt a little uncomfortable staying there too long...Was going to go to Stereo for the Morales marathon that is still going on now from what Erika tells me, but it was 45$$$ to get in and didn't feel like spending more
money!!
Just now got back from a late lunch at Basha's with Fast, Epicurus, Magicb, atltrancer, nachos, Disco Kandi, and nasser, and king louis, was a great way to reminice from the weekend, I had a great time...awesome meeting all the TAS....
Next time out is PORTERHOUSE @ STEREO....And we'll be celebrating Annes birthday and the return of the Steve....See most of you there!
Ninja Out.

P.S. Danny played until about 12:45

Also fakkk how could I forget Meo...on nothing and dancing hard all nite, great to see you mate!
And Louis...poor tired Louis....get some rest mate!! and see you on Saturday
And nice to meet The KIng Kong as well

Wow...I got to Aria at 10am after a night of Celebration, and every door was locked to get in. I got scared but when people left I held the door open, smiled at the doorman and showed him my ticket. He let me in without any problems. Yay :D

Danny FKN Howells RIPPED IT! His tracks, his crowd connection, it was all amazing. There was no vibe left in Aria the time I spent there (10am-12:30pm). I spent alot of time dancing next to the booth where he could see me well LOL and I payed lots of attention to his mixing which was incredible. At the end (12:00pm), we were all begging him to continue and Danny said (in his oh-so hot English accent) "What, mate? I can't hear you, my ears are ED." I yelled out "Go til at least 2pm!" Then he started banging it again for another 45 minutes of bliss.

To top my entire night off, I got to meet the mofo after his set. He was with with his girlfriend/wife chilling, having a smoke. I made my way over, intimidated as hell and introduced myself. I told him I was gonna start mixing and that his music was definitely gonna be inspiration for me. He tells me to make sure I have a demo of my music ready for the next time he came to Montreal to give to him. WTF :happy2: He's an awesome guy, I couldn't have ended my NYE party better.

I personally didn't find Aria's sound system jacked up at all :conf: but I was at Celebration for a good 10 hours where I heard the LOUDEST music in my life. My ears are still ringing and asking to hear music and it's Monday night

AHHHHH, so much happiness, dancing and fun. Excessive amounts of outstanding music...

Was nice to see some TAs...Ninjahola, Anne, Fayrayee...Sure I'm missing some ppl...

PS: It's official, I'm in LOVE with Steve and Danny...:p
