So once Tag was finally found I believe that Sharam was just finishing up and Howells was about to take over.. Sharam was kicking it when I got there.. I was soo full of energy and ready to party.. When Howells came on.. I was into it for about the first 30 min and then I went and sat for pretty much the rest of his set until I left around 11:30am (I think). I did not enjoy his set at all.. It wasn't what I was expecting at all and I was totally disappointed :(
It really sucks when you are looking forward to seeing a dj and it becomes a complete letdown. But thankfully with the company of all my fellow TA's you made the party what it was. :D

ok guys, I know I am bumping a thread that is just under a month old.. but I didn't want to start a new thread over this.

A lot of you were very impressed by Howells performance on NYE where me as I posted was completely disappointed. I was expecting so much more so for me going to see him spin for 6 hours in Amsterdam was something I was not looking forward to at all.

Well, I think now that I have actually seen him play in Holland that I will never again see him play in Canada.

Howells was on fire @ Panama. I got there around midnight due to me running late getting ready and Emre having a football game prior to the event but that was ok. I still managed to get in a good solid 4 hours of Howells set.

When I arrived at Panama, the place was already packed. The club itself is quite small compared to our clubs, but I think this is what made it so nice. It seemed more intamite then it does when the dj's play larger clubs and the vibe of the club was much nicer. Howells was full of energy and played an amazing progressive house set which is EXACTLY what I wanted him to play in Montreal and he didn't. I was on the floor dancing all night long and had a blast. I met a few new people (David's friends mostly) who were very welcoming and love to have a good time as much as I do but most of all, everyone is there for the music and the vibe is just amazing.
Now most people from the reviews I read on the dutch forums didn't enjoy the last bit of Howells set when he actually broke out into some techno :D but myself on the other hand was loving every minute of it! :p
I understand that dj's play different styles depending on the club/city they are spinning in, but Friday night was completely amazing and this is how he should play all the time imo. I couldn't have been more happier which is why I have made my decision not to see him in Canada anymore. :)

So with me saying before that I hated Howells (yes Tag I know we have talked about this one already), I don't really hate Howells himself, I just hated the dark progressive set here. I love his prog/house style and will continue to enjoy that. So hopefully next time I am in The Netherlands he is spinning again so I can get my fix, if not I will just have to make due without :p

here are some of the (drunken) pics from Panama as well!
Enjoy :)

Thank you Taha <3 *muah*

I didn't like the thirty-ish minutes of Howells that I heard. I guess I was expecting something funky like in one of his sets at Space, Ibiza.
