diane is supposed to be the one that clears up skin best, but obviously you shoudl talk to your Dr. I can't say if it works or not b/c I I can't tolerate the BCP. |

Yes there is and I use it. Diane 35. I tried many different types of acne treatments...UV, topical non-prescription, topical prescription, strong antibiotics (everything short accutane), etc.
I finally decided to try Diane and after about a month my acne cleared up completely. Now I only get the occasional small pimple.
The only downside is that Diane 35 is not cheap, I think it's about $30 a month. |

Do not take Accutane, whatever you do. The potential side effects (depression (in severe cases causing suicide), genetic birth defects, arthrits, and a bunch of other fun things) are just not worth it. I have (although it's almost gone) cystic acne. I tried accutane and experienced horrible side effects. I stopped using it after 1 week.
Hit me up on MSN the next time you see me on, and I'll explain the things that I found helped my acne. |

tri-cyclen is a good bcp to use.
if your skin isn't too sensitive, microdermabrasion may help (if $$ allows for it). it'll exfoliate all the dead skin cells. start with a 'new' layer of skin.
lots of water as everyone has suggested. sleep..good eating habits. |

one thing ive always been curious about...
are pimples/zits/etc a new phenomenon, i.e. were there kids in the 1400, 1500, 1800s bitching about breakouts? Or is it largely a new (1900+) occurence due to the vast change in lifestyle in the past 100 years.
i think this needs looking into, as then perhaps we could find out what causes this .
cause im sure if it happened in "medieval" times, it would have been documented somwhere as some kind of skin disease?
thoughts? opinions? |

| I went thru breakouts myself. I went for a series of micropeels (about $80 each). You go every ten days to two weeks. And I used DDF products too. My skin looks beautiful. PM me and I'll send you to my skin care specialist. She's a miracle worker. |

| Oh, and change your pillowcase every night and make sure you're changing your face sponges daily and not using hair products after putting on your makeup. |

If you wanna stop break outs. Then heres what you do:
1. Grab a camera
2. Take off your clothing
3. Take pictures of yourself in sexy positions
4. Send them too me
That is all. :D
I would always like to know the question simms327 brings up. I have never heard of acne at any point in early history until up to the 1950's.
Could it have something to do with the air quality? Maybe it has something to do with all the chemicals they add to food now a days? |
