I don't think it's so much that as the clash between his philosophies and values and his actions. He's got a problem with viewing both sides of a situation, which is caused by his limited scope of the people he's condemning. It's funny that he's criticizing New Yorkers in one sentence and advocating a "democratic capitalist society with strong social programs," which is the same opinion that a lot of NYers have.

I personally want to thank you for aiding my procrastination at work with engaging deliberation over a futile topic! It seriously killed alot of time and now its time for me to retreat to my apartment and watch tv! I thank you for helping me waste time.
