Ever think that they may just goto different events than you? I see those people around at other parties --- Fly, Pride events, leather ball, and other events that are heavily gay-targeted. I actually call that group of people 'the party bears'.
They also tend to show up at parties that have headliners like Danny T/etc - big name DJs that also have a fairly large gay appeal. |

And, I hope Sonic is able to promote a true 'mixed crowd' feeling. In Toronto, there seems to be a real lacking of straight/gay mixed venues.
Sure, you get the homos out at all types of parties - but, its more 'gay friendly' venues than 'truely mixed' venues. The truely mixed-vibe of places like old-Boa, Stereo in Montreal/etc is great and would be nice to see it in Toronto again.
I really dislike Fly, so looking forward to a hopefully mixed-crowd/gay-friendly after-hours venue. |

Thats really what we are going for.
Sure, there will be dj's who play that get a very gay dominant crowd but overall I think it will be very mixed. One thing that both gay and straight clubbers alike will have is their love for the space and sound. I can assure you this. The space will also now have appeal to those who are used to an upscale feel as well (Lot332, Century Room, etc.) with the hardwood flooring (which is absolutely stunning), and vip areas available. And with Carey behind the talent coming in, you know the dj's will be amazing for anyone who attends. |

Well Im looking forward to the opening. The carwash crew has their area, the others have theirs. I can see myself becoming a regular at this place, and I cant wait for opening.
