For any afterhours club to succeed (especially in this city), the crowd needs to be diverse. The 'carwash crew' i'm sure, will be a regular staple for this club no matter what the lineup. There are lots of places in the club that you can explore if you truly need to avoid them.
People need to shake this attitude, and just be excited about the most important aspects of nightlife they actually enjoy. |

Just ensure good tunes and a great party and I'll be there all the time. |

I just asked a simple question; whether Sonic is targeting that market segment or not. It really makes no difference to me, but I'd like to know what to expect. If it bothered me so much then I would've walked out of 270 midway through C&C's NYD set and not given it the near-perfect review that I did. |

fair enough Peter....
and take no offence to this post - I AM BEING GENERAL
We should EXPECT nothing but GOOD BEATS/GOOD TIMES from this place/space - the intricate details and simply blatant nuances that make up any given event night there will be random and not worth worrying about no?.....if I cared about such "details" myself I would not go out to most places I do so I don't........we all know booking these DJ's such as Morales/Knuckles/C&C etc will bring the gay mafia/car wash crew - why people keep bemoaning/posting about it (when on these forums - it hints at snide smugness/reinforces negative stereotypes) I wonder sometimes....everyone has a place in the House Jack built - history is repeating....
MUSIC FIRST - let that RULE you!

To be honest, I feel the same way. A good crowd should transcend physical characteristics... everyone there united for the music, not to appeal to a certain distinct style, race, financial status, etc.
However, when portions of the crowd over-indulge in this openness, it starts to alienate other portions of the crowd, so freedom has to be limited to a certain degree. |
