However, when portions of the crowd over-indulge in this openness, it starts to alienate other portions of the crowd, so freedom has to be limited to a certain degree.

hmmmm.....whose freedom are you referring too????

you can say the same for people on various/multiple stimulants who frequent events such as these.....

on many levels they alienate/or have alienated the people who no longer go out because they have moved on in their lives to foster families and other acute responsibilities and don't see the "need" for the hedonism.....

MUSIC FIRST!

not to be a devils advocate but they always take the best spots, centre of dance floor, in front of the DJ. it really is not fair that i have to dance off to the side while they muscle their way into the best spot.

Pete, I was responding to cap

ah, sorry then.

And it's not that I have a problem with what kind of a crowd goes there; it should be diverse. But when half the club is a bunch of shirtless, hairy, sweaty guys who are taking up the whole front section then gimme a break here. not to mention the attitude some of them have...

Whatever though; as long as the beats are good then that's all that matters. Plus, I can put up with 1/3rd of the night being like that. Towards the end it, when it starts to empty out, it's perfect

Pete, again.... this is just a reality that we face when being associated with the afterhours scene. There is no point in complaining about shirtless greased up dudes. I used to, but i've realized that at the end of the day, they pay just like the rest of us - and if they feel like taking off their shirt, they can and will.

Besides, once the club is open and everyone falls in love with this space, soundsystem, and music.... the minor discomforts that have been mentioned by some will be totally forgotten.

Better the sweaty shirtless types, than the strictly fashion conscious, listening to house-cuz-its-urba-chic-hip type.

I'm really excited about this place opening up. Don't know if I'll go the opening night. Maybe better to sit back for a bit and see what everyone else will think.

also, i know there's gonna be a lot of sexy girls going to this place; which will really be the balancing factor in all this.

agreed there

id rather be surrounded by people who are not afraid to sweat a little and have some fun, rahter than stuck up bi@tches who ride the bus in their 400 dollar dolce gabana shades.

Although im not a fan of taking the shirt off in the club. Most of the people i go with are. Max ill pull is the wifebeater.

On the opening night, given the line-up, the car-wash crew will definately be in full effect.

plus tickets being sold @ Priape.

chinamon
ok. who cares about the car wash crew.
i just stuck to the back of the club where all the ladies were during chus&ceballos on new years. that was my little comfort zone in the club.

and i have one final note to add...
BRING BACK SATOSHI TOMIIE
that man throws it down dirty and really knows how to work the basslines
been dying to see him again since the last time he played at boa
