| A Paul van Dyk show during summer three or four years ago. I'm not big on clubs, though, so I haven't been to many shows. |

Is that coz you're a bitter old man who abhors narcotics and anything generally considered fun?
Anyways.
My first club experience was on spring break @ Palladium in 00. I really don't remember much of it to be honest. It was also my first experience on pills and to this day by far the best. I remember hearing Touch Me. Life was great.
First club experience in the US was Oct 01 for Tiesto. It was pretty decent, the club wasn't all that though. Got to hear Tiesto's remix of Silence and Flesh in one night which was nice. Also back when Urban Train was new and ripping up floors. |

My first proper clubbing experience (what I mean by proper, is not some cheesey back-street club) was in Ibiza 2002 being 21 and of sound mind. It was my first holiday without my parents. I'd been into the trance music about 3 years then, but I'd only listened to compilations such as Gatecrasher, Cream, Trance Nation e.t.c. I'd thought I'd go to the big clubs and listen to the big DJs.
My first night out on the Sunday in San Antonio, Ibiza I got so, pissed from drinking Red Bull and Vodka I missed Ferry Corsten playing @ Judgement Sunday in Eden. I was gutted because he was my favourite DJ at the time. I managed to catch Judge Jules later on at 1:30am and I still managed to have a good time.
The best clubbing night on that holiday was probably the following Thursday with Cream @ Amnesia. Tiesto was supposed to play but he had an ear infection, so missed out (b*****d) I think Timo Maas warmed up, but I didn't care. I danced my arse off for 8 hours (12:00am - 8:00am) and got into a pretty nice groove. I could have dance to anything by the early hours of the morning. The atmosphere, the music and the adrenaline was out of this world. Smoke and lasers going off at regular intervals and being surrounded by sweaty, hedonistic clubbers, was pure bliss. :eyes:  :eyes:
There was more experiences to come, but those are other stories. |

| my first time at a real club was Paul Van Dyk @ Exit in the summer of 2002. That fall was crazy. I remember 3 weeks in a row there was Tiesto, then Sasha, and finally Pvd, all at Roxy. I missed the PvD concert at roxy though but i found out about the 10 dollar benefit concert at arc. those three weeks were memories..... |
