first club experience was at Space Miami. Oscar G and Edgar V were there and some others...... and you know what? It was incredible. I smiled and I knew I was a certified electronic music head. That night changed my life. That was like 3 years ago, I'm 20 now. No X either. Although at Space you can really trip out on that lol

My first time was Paul Van Dyk at Central Park 2003. I'd been listening to trance ever since Tranceport 1, but I'd never been with more than one or two people at the same time that like trance until that night. I was with my people:).

I remeber Paul teasing us all night with pieces of "For an Angel". Then when he finally dropped it, I couldn't see the lasers anymore because I was blinded with happiness.

Then I heard Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes for the first time and I was blown away again. He also played Dreamland.

Oh man, it was good. I didn't even need the X.

Like PVD said(see below), "...it's something I'll always remember." :):):)

I see that most people here aren't posting their true "first" experience, since they are either embarassing/bad, so I'll keep the story of my true first club experience for elsewhere. Let's just say that:

4 hours of crappy Hip Hop + Bad Sound System + Bad DJ = One very unhappy clubber...

My first EDM experience was at a local club here called Club Paradise. Some of Hickory's local DJs played, in a show called Alt v 2. The show was odd; DJs and bands would take turns on stage, with each act getting about 25 minutes. This was a blessing and a curse, because while some of the less talented bands got done quickly, the DJ that I was bugging out to (He dropped Daft Punk "Around The World (MAW Remix)" and a bunch of other great House. Great mixing too)had to end his set early :(. The club was pretty small, but that didn't matter, since only myself and 2-3 others were dancing (99% of the people there were there for the bands). It was a great night overall and a great intro to live EDM. I'm looking forward to coming back to Paaradise the next time they have an all-ages show...

It was at a club which if any other TA is been to I'll personnaly give you a cookie. The Waterfront in Wick, Caithness, Scotland. This place is further north than most of freaking Russia. Club's e in the extreme think going from Toca straight into ing Cotton ing eyed ing joe. That DJ hmmm yes you know how sometimes you get so angry at someone you just don't know what to do? Well anyway it was .

Anyway first proper club was in Aberdeen (stop laughing....I'm serious) probebly Ministry of Sin (again stop laughing anyone who knows it) but it was good for a young country lad like myself. Plus then it was a bit more respectable... in terms of music quality anyway. A few dance floor battles but genrally not too bad.

First proper DJ would be Jules (don't laugh that man inspired me to take up dj'ing and I still enjoy his nights and when he comes to ty aberdeen poke holes during the week he's still keen for it).

Anyway I had an ace night.

:happy2: :happy2: :happy2:

well my first electronic club experience was in 2002 at club space miami. i was 15 years old can you imagine that? i was with some of my older friends they were around 18 or 19 and they told me i was in for the time of my life. it was an all ages but damn was this a ing party. crazy lights and lasers all over the place. everyone rolling face, people were so nice it frightened me at first until the pill my friends had convinced me to take kicked in. An octagon E wow ill never forget that night. completely strangers walked up to me asking me if i needed water or anything. that night changed my life and my electronic music obsession forever. ill never forget it. they were spinning mostly hard trance like dj scot project and more uplifting type of stuff but it great. Dj Seasunz and some of the residents from space were spinning i think. i didnt really care the music was too good!

my first club experience was in '98 at a under 18 party at Vinyl.

i don't even remember there being a dj, but if there was one,
he was playing hip hop. noreaga's 'superthug' just came out,
and when it was dropped, there were a lot of 16 year olds
going nuts :p

also, because i was tall for my age, i kept getting asked if
i was a drug dealer.

there were 2 gorgeous girls that i shared my minibottle of
absolut with, but i've never seen them again :(
