To me the article makes it seem like he is impassioned by profit, not music, even though his credentials are clearly listed.
It's incredible how a single quote can throw an entirely new slant on an interview/article. |

It's an article in the metro...I'm sure it's being read by people who have no clue about Sonic or even house music, so it could be a first impression for many. |

The current scene will, for the most part, eventually get old and stop going out to after hours. If any venue is going to be successful long term, it needs to try to interest people who normally don't have any interest/knowledge about the club or the EDM scene. It is these people who will replace the current partiers as they get older.
Articles like this - in a publication such as the metro which has a HUGE readership - is more of an advertisement than it is an interview. |
