I hope Spanish Jesús Navas goes to Germany. Electric player. |
I believe a midfield of Xavi, Fabregas, Vicente (or the guy from osasuna who looks good) and Navas will be the midfield at the next WC or Euros.... Jesús was great for Sevilla in the uefa cup final, his acceleration was just blistering, I was like 'wow' as against spanish defences he doesn't always get to show it. |

| 3 Strikers aint enough, same goes for Portugal. Dont get it either, why wouldnt you take Morientes with you as a sub... |

Marchena and not Morientes? Only 3 forwards (yes, a lot of offensive midfielders), and Marchena is a red-card prone (and had a bad season).
Joaquín and not Navas, Albelda and not Oubiña. Crappy list. |
I think that Raúl Albiol has had a better year at valencia than Marchena. Undoubtedly Puyol is the best spanish centre back since Nadal though. |

Ribery played in the U21's in the side that beat england in a playoff. Quite a bit of hype about him, esp with zizou being gone soon, but I didn't think he was the finished article yet when I saw him. was quite ineffectual against Bolton in UEFA cup too |
yesterday i've read he was voted the best player in the french championship, and that he's still under-21. haven't seen him playing, but that should be enough to take the conclusion he's surely not !
godfather: 3 strikers only isn't ideal but you have to realise there's a limit of 23 players, which is 2/3/4 players less than the usual club squad. if you put one extra striker you have to take away from another position. as for Spain i'd rather take away one of the def. midfielders and place an extra winger than place an extra striker. |

the future? Probably, the present? I don't think so myself. I think Lyon have better players than that too, even if most aren't french! |
