Sorry my review took so long to post. I am in between 3 jobs right now, so things are a little hectic.

The night started with a fun pre-party at Tortilla Flats to celebrate a few birthdays. It was a great time. Thanks again Nada for supplying the cake. That was very thoughtful of you!

I got to the club at around 12:30am just to avoid what happened on opening night. At 1:00am, I realized the line was very long, so I told my friends who hadn't arrived yet to expect a long wait. Surprisingly, it didn't even take them that long to get in. It seems like the kinks at the door have been worked out.

Sean Miller started off the night with one of the best sets I've heard him play so far. The last 30-45 minuntes of his set worked the crowd up perfectly. By the time Sean got off the decks, the crowd was bouncing up and down with excitement.

Chus & Ceballos hit the decks and surprisngly played 2 hours of progressive and house. No tribal to be heard at all. At one point, Katy asked me, "Where's the tribal?". Not 30 seconds after I replied, "It's coming", Chus & Ceballos started up the bongos.

It wasn't the best set I've heard them play. They played good tunes, but their programming was off. It sounded like they weren't putting that much of an effort into it... until 9am. 9am-close was complete bojangles. I wish they played like that for their whole set. Even though their set wasn't the greatest, I still had an great time.

I noticed that the sound this past Saturday was significantly better than the past two weeks. At the Grand Opening and Torrence, I was not satisfisfied with the sound because I found that the bass did not have as much follow through as Boa's old sound system. This was certainly not the case on Saturday. It's good that the bass was up to par for this party as powerful bass is needed for tribal house.

It was really awesome partying with all the TAs at this party. There were a lot of Sonic and/or Chus & Ceballos first timers out on Saturday. Prior to the party, I was more excited for these first timers' reactions than the actual party itself. I'm glad you guys took a chance by going to this place. I know most or all of you had a really good time. I hope to see you back there soon!

Sorry my review took so long to post. I am REALLY LAZY right now

Anyway, loved millers set. wish i had known i was going to enjoy him better then C&C b/c then i wouldn't have "saved" myself for them. C&C..i can see what the hype is about. Personally its not my thing (which i didn't know going in, as being relatively new to the house scene) they really are the "peoples" dj. Seeing Ceballos bustin it harder then most ppl on the dancefloor and him partying with some fellow TAs on the back speaker is cool. they know how to have a good time and give a good time too. however, 8 hours of maraccas makes me wanna cry. that gosple song that jon was running around looking like a tv evanglist to is goooooood

vibe at sonic was awesome. i was a little wary of 80218232 shirtless guys, but its totally different then the shirtless guys at guv. the creep factor was ziltch. i love the gay crowd...everyone was just there to party. never felt uncomfortable!

sonic itself is just phenomenonal. i can't believe i'm going to write a review on the lighting, but that is intense. this club is completely a full senses experience.

I'm sure he'll edit them like we all did though.

Tribesman
Great show by the madricians.... Not as hard tribal as usual, but then again I realized they were playing with the sound system, taking that baby for a ride and played records that would showcase the system's capabilities... I was amazed at how crisp the sound is... Definitely not as bass driven as Stereo's but a creature with its own personality... the Damage track by Tiefschwarz sounded angelical...!!! Not sure most of us here really understand how lucky we are in Toronto to have a HOUSE.. Let's keep the RESPECT levels up and try and mingle a bit more... the crowd division is RAZOR SHARP and doesn't really help the general vibe... I think we all can improve that... and how about serving some more style... IT'S A PARTY AFTER ALL and we are all allowed to turn our best PARTY wardrobe, makeup and wigs!

IN A LIGHTER NOTE, PLEASE GO EASY WITH THE PICTURE AND VIDEO TAKING... IT GETS SOOO BAD IT'S ALMOST CHILDISH AND ANNOYING... AS BAD AS GLOWSTICKS, SKETCH AND (to quote Montreal's own DOLLFACE) BROCHETTERIE...

i actually like to look back at the pictures and videos to 're-live' the moments experienced. how you can relate taking pictures and videos to GLOWSTICKS, beats the hell out of me.
