i went to see Xmen 3 last nite and i gotta say i was expecting more from it, yeah it was a good movie but nothing much happened and the ending was crap IMO

BTW tho for all u guys who didn't see it, when u do stay after the credits for an extra 30 seconds of film (which is a quick insight to the 4th im guessing)

you say you were expecting more...well, what were you expecting from it??

You might need to change the title to Highmay owns this thread LOL

The only thing I didn't like about X3 was what they did (or didn't for that matter) with Jean Grey.

I haven't seen the movie yet but I've been hearing the same types of responses to X-3 from everyone I know who's seen it. Good movie, but still lacking. As far as I know this is the last one they're making before they start going off into the Wolverine movies.

Theyre also doing a Magneto movie.

cant believe how well it (X-Men 3) did opening weekend...:eyes: , still havent seen it, most of my friends said it was disappointing in comparison to the previous two...but as for a recent review:

The Proposition- Dunno if anyone is into westerns, but this one was recently released by the BBC/UK and did pretty well overseas...it's a western set toward "the end of the bushranger era" in Australia, when the Brits start expanding across the continent and attempt to "civilize the land"...basically follows the story of Charlie Burns (played by a malnourished guy pearce)and his lil' bro who are part of an infamous trio of brothers charged with the rape and murder of a family in a nearby town...the film opens with them being cornered by British soldiers who are attempting to bring them to justice..Arthur Burns is the ringleader and the most sadistic (by reputation at least) and the one who is centrally responsible...so Charlie Burns is offered a "proposition" by his captors..hunt his own brother down kill him and bring his body back, or watch his younger brother (who is pretty much an adolescent teen)hang..he has 9 days to do this...won't spoil anything but here's a disclaimer: If you aren't into really grisly violence and gore, STAY AWAY! :wtf: ....there are scenes in here that would make a movie like "History of Violence" (just as one example) look like an ABC after-school special...there are some SERIOUS moments of carnage and some AWESOME camera work....the landscape is captured very well..especially the wide shots..and you can almost taste the dust in the air and the flies buzzin around...:nervous:

4 outta 5 stars :D

does that explain the last 20 seconds?

also - i think we should edit the title to warn people that there might be spoilers if they participate in this thread. =)

the first two x-men features went a lot more into the interactions between the characters, and seemed to delve a little more into the characters themselves. the last stand was just a lot more "let's blow up and see what happens". this is what happens when the director does stuff like rush hour. i think i'm actually looking forward to superman returns because of bryan singer and his two writers (they were all supposed to work on x-3 before they were asked to fix the mess on superman returns).

saw over the hedge as well on thursday night, based on the comic of the same name. very cute story. it's a kids movie so they drill the idea of family into your head a bit, and it gets drawn out at times with the dialogue. i still would recommend seeing it.
