Recently saw....

Lost Boys: The Thirst 6/10
Predictably but oddly entertaining, kinda funny without trying too hard.

Machete: 4/10
Boring plot, tried to be funny but failed. May be it just me, I have a strange sense of humor because everyone else found it amusing.

Predators: 7/10
I like this one a lot. The beginning starts off and you have no clue what's going on at first and it keeps you guessing about who is behind it. Good action, still leaves me wondering a bit as to how the doc got them there and why he did it.

Next on my list to see is Splice, Hereafter, and Skyline.

This weekend....

I saw:

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: 7/10
It was funny, kept me interested, and was a bit insane at some parts but in a good way. It was also a movie I could watch along with my son so it's a good way to spend some family time.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop: 5/10
This movie isn't very new, but again a family movie which I watched with my son. It has the guy from King of Queens in it. It wasn't LOL funny but it was amusing.

Tron was awesome!! Anyone see it yet? The visuals and 3D were so badass, though after a while I feel like my eyes started to adapt and I didn't notice the 3D as much as when the movie started.

The score was FUKKING AWESOME! Daft Punk killed it! They even had cameos in the movie which was cool. I've gotta download the music from the movie, it was so good and perfectly placed throughout the film.

Oh and...

Fail: $18.00 for a movie

Win: Them not ripping my ticket and me later selling it for $15

so i finally got my hands on a copy yesterday and i gotta say i expected alot more from it, the film just wasn't well done IMO and it really shows how much of a dick those 3 really are. not sure why they would wanna do that but that's apparently what they were going for. it really wasnt about the parties or their lives, it felt like it was just about how they are bored and get pissed left and right before and after gigs. and i was expecting alot more ritz & glamour, it was ok at best

any of u guys see it?

The Adjustment Bureau 7/10 - I really liked it, cool ideas at first and then towards the end it pretty much turned into a sappy love story.

Battlefield Los Angeles 6/10 - I like Skyline better, this one was ok but it was more from an army perspective and I didn't find their acting, training, and tactics very convincing.

Limitless 8/10 - Good movie, finally a plot that hasn't been overused and run into the ground. Lots of action, clever twists here and there. Very entertaining.

Hereafter 5/10 - Finally saw it after everyone kept telling me how horrible it was. Part of the story line was sad and depressing, ok may be most of it was. I don't think it was that bad but I generally like Matt Damon as an actor.

The Lovely Bones 6/10 - This movie was kind of strange, it goes from creepy to melodramatic to cool animations back and forth ever few minutes. The animations were very pretty to look at. The storyline was generally pretty sad tho.

Is this a review for the Predators with Adrien Brody and Topher Grace?

If so, Topher Grace (the Doctor) didn't have anything to do with them getting to that planet. He actually isn't a doctor if I remember correctly, but a serial killer. They were all brought to the planet by the alien Predators, because the the humands they chose were all predators themselves on Earth. Topher being a serial killer, was just one of the bunch...but obviously he keeps that a secret until the end.

Saw 2 movies this weekend...

The Lincoln Lawyer - B+

This played out very similar to the Ed Norton/Richard Gere movie, "Primal Fear." Basically about a cocky, hot-shot lawyer who gets involved with a client who isn't what he seems to be. My only (very minor) gripe with the movie, is the 5 or so endings tacked on. I got up to leave like 4 different times because I thought the movie was over, and then sat back down as more twsists and turns were added. Still really good though.

Hanna - B+/A-

I will say, the first 30 minutes or so were an A+. Her training scenes with her father are really cool, and her "escape" scene is just mind-blowing. The cast was all stellar...I loved the main girl. Eric Bana is great...as well as some of the creepy supporting characters. The Chemical Brothers' score was top notch as well.

Saw "Furious 5" today and really liked it. Granted...you have to suspend a ton of belief while you're in the theater. But like most of the 'Furious' movies, it was entertaining as hell. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are no Daniel Day Lewis when it comes to acting, but god damn the action sequences were intense. - 7/10

and I'm not sure what her name is, but I think I found my new favorite celebrity....

neon

I guess we left before the final credits rolled. But I just watched it on youtube, although the quality was hard to see. Michelle Rodriguez is due to come back?
