I was waiting for a review on this flick. Since it has a limited theatre release, I'm not sure if it's worth going to the city just to watch it.

for you Sacha Baron Cohen fans, a short review..

got to see a pre-screening of Borat last week and although i havent watched many comedies this year, i must say this one tops the list for me..audience was comprised mostly of newspaper/magazine reviewers and some tv reps..theater was in uproarious laughter or utter disbelief for most of the 90 minutes...was skeptical as to whether the borat character would be entertaining for that long but he did a good job balancing the "storyline" with the gags and candid shots of him interacting w/ the public...wont explain anything but for those who have seen the borat character, you wont be disappointed.

saw "the departed" and "the prestige" during the last 10 ten days; i can solidly recommend "the departed" while "the prestige" gets a lukewarm recommendation as it's nolan's weakest work to date.

oh really?

Departed...YES a BIG thumbs up, definitely

but *disappointed* about The Prestige..I WANTED to watch that...it definitely seemed different from the regular movies (action, comedies) that we watch...

Nolans weakest work...in comparison to...Batman Returns? Memento?

some newspapers gave it 4 stars, i wonder, based on what criteria...

i thought the borat movie was really funny but as the movie progressed it got worse and a couple of the scenes (hotel scene) were just too much

overall good movie tho and great laughs throughout

i went to see * Casino Royale * last sunday and i gotta say that i was def. not disappointed! the movie was action packed from start to finish, the story was great, the new bond dude is awesome and i like him better then all the recent bonds because he appoached the role in a totally different way and made it alot better then pierce brosnan could ever have, the acting was on point, and i was really impressed overall :)
