If you looked at that thread in the COR, you'd see that Europeans do criticize our sports. Both sides just have this "Our way is better than yours mentality" and are too brainwashed to make up their own minds.
Some dude called hockey stupid the other day, because the puck's too small and it's boring unless their a fight. Or the argument about how American football is for pussies because they wear pads. |

Yeah it's a tired argument for me though. I like both baseball and soccer. Both have lots of action if you know the sports. It's not just about scoring, it's all the action leading up to it. Soccer is constant movement. For the big American sports, probably basketball is closest to that.
Baseball is a game of multiple strategies and execution that the average observer wouldn't know. Just like soccer. It's just not a widely accepted sport here in the U.S. It's just the way it is. It's growing to some degree but still slowly. I actually used to hate soccer until about 4 years ago. It took me living in another country where they were obsessed with it and being forced to watch the games by my then girlfriend. It took about 20 matches before I suddenly realized it was pretty awesome. Now I can't get enough. |

I agree with ya. It's too tiring to rationalize what you like to Europeans who didn't grow up playing/watching the sport. And vice-versa for them to explain their passion for soccer or rugby. I'm happy that I can like all (except for rugby).
The American football thing is silly because our players are double the size of theirs and run much faster. Speed equals more force. You throw your body around more wearing pads than without. |

| good god... this is the ITALIA i hate.... theyre diving, they have no chemistry, their passing is horrible, theyre the exact opposite of last game... as far as USA, they need to get their together with their passing, they give the ball away too often, and this red card to Mastroeni was TOTALLY unneccesary, and im really pissed about it... |

| what a tough battle that was, so proud to see USA pull this tie out!Even after all the stuff that went against us . Italy should be ashamed of this performance, and let it out on Czech Republic :p and if USA beats Ghana (doable) then USA to the next round haha. |

Btw, Ghanda is the coolest team because that guy pulled out the Israeli flag!!! (He plays for Tel Aviv).
Honestly though I prefer Argentina to win the cup so Diego can go insane!! Plus they have an amazing team! messi tevez crespo saviola sorin man THEY ARE BANGING!!!! |
