I was hoping to see Theo...:(

+1... I wanted to see him too

Only good thing about this game was the final score and the defense... A LOT of work to be done about the attacking, I'm expecting a lot more from Lampard, specially when Gerrard is helping on the defensive side. Crouch totally disappeared... Joe Cole was by far the only good thing on the attacking side.

Regardless, 1-0 is a great result vs an extremely tough team like Paraguay

0 - 0 would be the right score for this game. Paraguay really improved over the 2nd half

the pitch looks stupid with black shade lines everywhere.

i lol'd when Robinsons kick hit the TV

typical game involving Paraguay, they make for some ugly games, they even got to the normally exciting English, other than Lampard, nothing much happening for England in the 2nd half.

Disappointing game. England was lucky with the early goal and proved to have a good defence but things from the midfield upfront are dodgy. They won the 3 points which is the most important but didn't shine at all.

Paraguay had a very active Valdez trying to unmark himself everywhere, and a great Paredes joining the attack all the time, but lacked a truly dangerous attacking midfielder or a winger. Santa Cruz did a very poor game too.

I'd name Beckham as man of the match, the precision on the passes and crosses was remarkable!

England played very bad today.

They got their early goal and then started playing a little offensive to end up with no intiative at all in the end of the game.

Paraguay had to struggle to win the balls on the midfield, the only player I would give plus to is Paredes who ran and ran and ran, but the rest of the team was very bad. I also think that Roque Santa Cruz was one of the worst players on the pitch today. Valdez was together with Paredes Paraguays best player, Indeed.

Lampard had a couple of good shots which were all saved by the goalkeeper.

Bad game.

I was nicely impressed by that Paraguayan player, Valdes is his name? perhaps a bit too anxious on the finishing but interesting player.
