Very unconvincing win by the English indeed.. they would do well to try and avoid meeting Germany in the next round if they keep playing like this.

It's best to start bad & get better than the opposite. We've had to get used to a weird ref, a ball we've never used & a heat we rarely get here. We can only improve & that's important.

+1

my brother said today the defense looked awesome

ing garbage

First half we looked good at the start but towards the end you could tell we where going nowhere and that things were gonna get worse.

Very lucky to get 3 points, didnt create much apart from the long shots by Lampard and set pieces by Beckham. Against a better team we would not have won.

I think we will qualify from the group and that no doubt the Sweden game will be the hardest and the best test to see if we can actually do anything in the competition.

My Ratings

Sven - 0

Worst substitions and tactical moves made ever. Does he actually do anything? I didnt see him move once and he seemed to think that we played pretty good when interviewed?

Team

Robinson - 7

Didn't have to do much, looked ok though when he did have to do something. Bonus point for hitting the screen.

Neville - 6

Did his job, nothing else.

Ferdinand - 6

Played well no mistakes.

Terry - 6

Same as Rio, no real big mistakes.

A Cole - 5

Couple of mistakes that against a better team and better player would have cost us big, needs to concentrate and think more.

Beckham - 8

Best player for me didnt do too much but without him we would have not won today. Brilliant at set pieces and didnt give up.

Lampard - 6

Played well first half but didnt carry that on to the second. Some good shots but looked very tired through the 2nd half.

Gerrard - 4

For me one of his worst games and at times I wouldnt have known he was on the pitch if you hadnt seen him blasting long rangers into the crowd. V poor.

J Cole - 7

Made some good runs, kept hold of the ball well and only beaten to best player because of Beckhams set pieces. Wasted when he was moved up front.

Owen - 4

Doesnt look fit to me and should not be playing, did f all and doesnt look like hes gonna do anything.

Crouch - 7

Played well and was unlucky with the ref calling evrything against him. Needed more support from his partner when he had one.

Subs

Downing - 5

I dont rate him and I think it was a waste of time bringing him on. Had a couple of runs but should have blocked the cross which Robinson made a hash of.

Hargreaves - 4

Didnt do anythig when he came on and I still dont know what Erickson sees in him. Should not be playing for Engalnd.

lol England needed Paraguay's own goal to win the match, England's team that has been predicted with a good chance to win the cup could not even score a goal of thier own against the lesser of the South American Teams.

Hardly a convincing performance from England there was it?

and Taha, interesting spelling of CAMEL in your sig :p
