Don't know what it is but all the Aussies I meet are cool down to earth people. But Japanese girls love me. So I don't know who to root for.

Both teams started out in tremendous tempo and played very well in the beginning of the first half.
Australia pumped in their balls against Mark Viduka who always wins the headers against Japans two middefenders. Mark Viduka also played nicely when he shot twice, and Kawaguchi saved Japan.
Interesting first half and very well awaited play from both teams, especially Japan who's going on their counterattacks as soon as a chance is given.
Mark Viduka passed nicely to Bresciano who had a great oppurtunity to score, but Kawaguchi once again there. Harry Kewell had a terrifick shot which could've gone in if he wasn't unlucky.
Japan has also had a couple of chances, but nothing even close to Australia's so far. The goal was probably a foul, not sure now that Schwarzer came out wrong, but he sure was taken out by a Japan-attacker, think it was Takahara. Guus Hiddink was pissed of, I can tell you that ;)
Alex has to improve, and Japan has to play more confident against Viduka, otherwise, Australia will be equalizing.
But it's 1-0 after 45 minutes. |
