so, No. They are not ready after their subpar performance vs ivory coast.

you were never left with the sense though that the Ivory Coast were going to gain anything out of the game, its one of those things where Argentina did what they needed to do early on and kind of floated the rest of the way to victory.

Argentina should be fine they turned over the roster and did what was needed to get more younger and get off to a good start in the tournament after the shocker of exiting in the 1st round in Korea/Japan, won't happen this time.

Of course it won't happen, but to remain competitive against the EURO super powers, their performance vs ivory coast didnt leave any indication of that. They fell flat in the second half. Basically, being a cup favorite, they left much to be desired in their first match. (same story as England,Germany)

When Brazil plays, they ram you to the floor and continue to do so until you are left with no ego.

Well actually that is true as far as when they play European competition but I don't see the Netherlands beating them. Unlike Serbia/Montenegro, Argentina can keep pace with the Netherlands. They will turn it up, and Messi and Tevez will enter the game if need be to spark them. Nice options off the bench.

That game should be fun to watch
Hope its not deja vu from 2002 in their second game
Netherlands are definitely not the powerhouse from before though, they rocked me to sleep in the second half of their last game:stongue:

Make that 0-8 for the U.S. on european grounds. That goes to show you that being ranked 5th in the fifa standing doesn't mean jack .

+1

To think they considered this the group of death because the US was among the top 15 teams. Pfftt... :p

That sux big time for you guys he is a beast with the ball played into the box from the wing. Having his size in the competition would have been a headache as you advanced in the tournament. Tough break.
Honeslty Paul were people worried about the U.S. game before it started in the Czech Republic or fairy confident the result was going to be a win.
