Why do people feel the world cup is an excuse to shove their ethinicity down ur throat? all of a sudden everyone becomes a soccer expert when just 2 months ago they werent even watching any club team games. If u dont watch clacio to begin with u shouldnt be out with a in miniature flag acting like a in idiot hoking ur horn. the two worst nationalities for this are the portuguese and italians.
Portuguese yesterday almost lost to Angola, in my personal opinion,and they head out to danforth to party?!?!? its the first round of the world cup and u oplayed like , and almost lost to angola and u go and party like idiots. and then to top it off they get into some huge brawl with eachother and end up getting arrested. in idiot portuguese.
and now we got the in wops. Im even italian and im in ashamed every 4 years to be italian. i dont even sport italian jersies, ill sport holland and the cezech republik cause i dont want to be associated with the big idiots that are italians during the world cup. Italian americans/canadians are a in shame to italy. they ruin the good name and our culture. all of a sudden these in mamalukes know everything abt soccer, when they werent even watchin series A 2 months ago. and now they just beat ghuana Im gonna hate to go outside in the next 5mins.
world cup is an excuse for people to shove their in ethnicity down ur throat and is not for the love of the game in this country. My rule of thumb is if u dont know what a "4-3-2 Flat" is u shouldnt be watching the world cup.

| Its all true. I hate seeing that, the worst is the people who dont watch the sport and arent portuguese/italian/french/mexican/polish any other time except for this. |

Also, 2 years ago when Portugal won, the entire city pretty much shut down because of all the Portuguese soccer fans running around on the streets. Took me 3 hours to get home from Guelph day they won which should normally have been barely 30 minutes. |

I actually agree with this.
During the world cup, everybody is a 'home town fan'. They couldn't care less about the hard work it took to get to the world cup, but since everybody is interested, they are now HUGE fans.
I do not watch football, and I usually do not during the World Cup, except because it is the largest single sporting tourny in the world.
As a kid, friends and I held our own world cup. We played the game instead of analyzing it, that was true fun. |

Yupp!!! When they made it to the finals in eurocup and they played greece I wore a greece shirt to her familie's get together...they werent too happy with me...:D :D I thought it was funny.. |
