TURN PASSIVE MODE OFF !!!
in CuteFTP > when you have that window with all yer connections in ...
right click the connection you need and select properties
there you will find a checkbox stating : "PASSIVE MODE ENABLED" TURN THAT ONE OFF !!

i did mention this to cyrax before, but there are a couple rules you have to follow on my server:
(1) My server won't work with passive (PASV) mode transfers...mostly due to my firewall. Make sure you turn that off.
(2) Only one connection per account per IP address is allowed. This means only one contestant and one judge can transfer files at any one time, and they can only use one session (i.e, you can't browse & transfer at the same time.)
These rules are for my own safety and as protection from my ISP so they won't shut me down for hosting a service.

k im f******* pissed. i spent the last 15 minutes looking for the pasv mode... no preferences, i cant find the 'site manager settings' that the help menu talks about, only 'site manager' which talks about folders and crap.

if it is CUTE FTP
Edit> Settings > Connection > Firewall > PASV MODE

| yeah, why is that dude? Not only are you eating up undue space on my HD (i need to use it too :)), but yer making it hell on the judges to download a 700 meg mix. i believe the rules state that you must use MP3 @ 160kbps. encode that thing, would ya? |

| hey, did i upload it in wav form? , cuz my apartment is 1 hour away, and i was down there earlier this week, so i just uploaded it and left without checking to see if i encoded it, sorry about that, i forgot to encode it, delete it, and ill encoded it and re upload it on sunday when i get back to my apartment |
