guys, i must ask this. would anyone mind if i took my server offline for most of the _day_ tomorrow? i.e. 8:00am till around 3:30pm? a bunch of guys in my class are taking their boxes in to trade movies, etc and i wanna be there to get some of that :)
tell me what you guys think....if it'll be too much of a setback, i'll just leave the box up. no worries. |

i ain't got no probs with it. The mixers had (and will have) plenty of time to upload ...

alrighty....my server will be up from now till tomorrow morning...so if the judges want to download stuff now, do so :)
i'll be submitting my mix just before i disable the upload account (at the deadline)...since i don;t need to actually 'upload' it, only copy it to a different folder, it'll work out nicely. |

fine toast. But i have ONE minor request.
Is it too much work or trouble to allow the judges to create folders in yer FTP ? If it IS, just say the word, OK .
So i can clean things up a bit in there. It's becoming a bit messy, and we still have lots a mixes coming our way ...

allow me to copy the things in the root folder into the subfolders :D
or you do it, works with me ... as longs as it gets cleaned up a little ...

My Mix is finally done, and uploaded

the other file didn't upload completely, and I couldn't erase it.

Hey guys, i uploaded my mix:
jim_tran-blistered(trance_promo_mix)
and the cue sheet to the ftp. dunno why, but the cue sheet is a bit off with the mp3, cuz of VBR i guess, but its perfect for the .wav file... strange.
anyways, its a short mix, :P only 46 mins, but i hope you guys like it nonetheless. |

ah, quddha, sometimes when you encode to mp3, the mp3 in winamp loses some time, it is becasue the mp3 isnt the highest quality in 160kbit, to fix this problem, get razor lame encoder and use this option in the expert section
in the custom options put
-b 160 -m s
160 denotes the kbit, so you can change it to whatever you like |
