Thank god too. I would hate to go home and have people tell me what to do like they do here.
And on the whole smoking in clubs affecting other people subject... I think the music in clubs is sometimes too loud. And it affects a lot of people, like smoking does. But you don't see me petitioning the government for a max allowance of decibels do you? And how about strobe lights? I hate those things because they give me (and photosensitive/epileptic people) seizures, but again, you don't see me or them asking for a ban on strobes! It's a personal choice i make to go to clubs where my health or the health of others could be affected by things within the club (i.e. loss of hearing) yet i don't bitch. Why? Because we live in a great big society and there will always be something some people don't like. But if you go around banning everything that pisses a select group of people off then what the hell do you have left?! |

No, just have good mental games and be able to think quickly and analyse their situations well... but a lot of that can be conditioned into them.

hahaha if they tried half the stuff there as they do here the citizens would literally shut the country down in general strike and burn the streets. |

on the contrary they worry about most worhtless things, like Beckham's new tattoo taking over first 3 pages of a newspaper :) I know, I'm going back to Europe soon, I remember their attitudes still

it is funny that once summer rolls around the people in Toronto start complaining again. My parents moved out of the city cuz they weren't happy. I think others should get the point as well and follow their lead! :)
What is even worse is they are completely just doing it to bitch. Anybody who has ever lived close to the railroad tracks or near a hospital or near a major highway will adapt to the noise. I lived with my parents out in the country for 9 years before moving to Kitchener (which is hardly a city) and we lived VERY close to the railway tracks and yes at first you wake up, but give it a couple of weeks if that, and you are sleeping right through it. It just proves the point that these people have nothing better to do with their time then bitch about things they cannot control.
People like this annoy me just as much as those who get junk mail and call the companies to tell them to stop sending them the junk instead of just throwing it out in the garbage on Tuesdays pickup :rolleyes:
