Uhmmm first off: England does not = all of Europe.
Second, i have yet to see anything as petty gracing newspapers other than your average tabloid or celeb mag which (omg!) we get here too with People, In Touch, and all that other stupid fluff.

I'm in Europe every 6 months or so, and i also know.

They may talk about beckhams tattoo but i bet any one of them could engage you in a good political discussion, even under 20s. Cant say the same here.

How many music festivals happen anymore? and how the spadina neibourhood committee is trying to shut down the enetertainment district? Not to mention the Toronto island whiners vs the docks!

not sure about the under 20 bit, I'd say under 25 for be exact

but I suppose this part might be true, my last political discussion was with a 30+ lady

Most people here dont know anything about politics. When i was complaining about the smoking law you wouldnt believe how many people of ALL ages said "yeah, thats why i didnt vote for stephen harper" and were shocked when i told them that this was a provincial law brought in by the Liberals

Most people in Canada vote by sound bites. They follow the popular opinion fed to them by the media. There are not very many informed voters under 60 which is why most of them pander to seniors and end up hanging young people out to dry.

hmm..not complaining but...
you know how nice it is to wake up with a bresh breeze in your room cuz of an open window in the morning? well even if u don't, its nice.
my house is surrounded by other homes with A LOT of kids...every weekend morning you wake up to: bam bam bam bam
i got a basketball net outside, and omg.
its either a lawnmower or the friggin basketball
yes i sleep with a closed window now:(

feels like all these kids do is shoot hoops!
but yea..i'm pretty sure T.O is gonna get tighter and tighter on their "quiet' laws
I've been to parties b4 where cops came and told the promoters of the party to kill it cuz of the noise complaints

but what im saying is that if you demand that kind of quietness then you have to move away from other people.

The only reasonable way to expect to be able to open your window and not hear noise is to live in the countryside.

Agree. Expecting otherwise is just TOO MUCH for living in a busy city. Ridiculous.

You need to move to find that quality if you truly desire it. Its unreasonable to expect the reality of where you live to change in order to suit you
