Something bad is happening in Asia. North Korea is trying to provoke Japan, South Korea, America, and pretty much everyone else in the world with missile tests and fightin words. Japan is mulling a pre-emptive strike. Taiwan is now planning a ballistic missile test, and according to Chungshan Institute of Science and Technology, it has a range of 600 miles and accurate to half a meter. India tested a long range, nuclear-capable missile the other day. And today, there was a series of train bombings in Mumbai, India, killing nearly 150 at last count.
America has pledged its support for Taiwan, if fighting breaks out with China. We clearly would defend Japan and South Korea if they were attacked. India and Pakistan are both allies, but if it came down to choosing one or the other, we would likely side with India. North Korea is a dangerous enemy, and seems to be itching for a fight.

I don't like to be harsh, but Jesus Christ, stop antecipating WWIII already: who the hell would ally with North Korea in other to make that a global war? Not even Iran and Palestine (if you want to bring the ideas already debunked on the PDD) have the capacity to create a World War Three.
You can calm down and relax, this is not a Hollywoodian trilogy where you have to wait for the 3rd chapter anxiously. |

Now Palestine's in deep with Israel up their ass...but Iran sure has the capacity to create a World War. Not by itself. But it has the power to create a divide and China, Russia won't side with USA in the event of any hostilities. Moreever, it can start the chain of events by blocking a strategic piece of water front which is extremely important for world oil transportation. |

Do you have any idea of how dependent on the US these countries are? China's becoming a great economic power, and it needs the US as much as the US needs it. US, China and Russia would have too much to lose for something as tiny as a lonely leader in an extremely poor country.
Do you really think American investors would like to see a market that grows 10% a year become their enemy? Do you think Chinese investors would like to see their main partner suddenly turn its back?

The world cares about Iran almost as much as it cared about Iraq a couple of years ago. Most countries are too dependent on one another in order to bother with these guys - are they trying to beat the system? Let the system beat them and we're all fine. |
