BBC Planet Earth Parts 1-5. It will blow your mind. Craziest world/nature documentry I have ever seen. Some of the shots they get are ing retarted. Im not sure how to track it down around here other than good ol' torrent spy.

| There's a documentary I want to find. Last year at WEMF some guy interviewed sketchbag mcgee Lars and myself for a documentary. He didn't give us any information so we have no idea what happened with it! If anyone sees Lars and I in a documentary please post the info here! :) haha |

BBC Massive Nature
This spectacular documentary is 5 or 6 parts long, and shows some of the biggest nature interactions between species. It will blow your mind seeing 10 million sardines travel along the east coast of africa, and get hunted by sea lions, hundreds of dolphins and sharks which all meet at one point in the journey. BBC made it look like each species is seemingly marching to war and they all collide in one big battle for survival at the end. |

It won an academy award and is about gay rights, and the life of a gay politician in San Francisco.
100% worth seeing. |

Rize - A journey into the hoods of Cali where Crunk and Clowin have given the urban youth an alternative to gangslife. If you believe in the power of dance, then you HAVE to watch this documentary. Blazin hip hop tracks, and off the hook dancing provide a backdrop to how people who've been dealt a short hand find a creative outlet to express themselves. An Inspiring story!
Long way Round - 2 men, 2 bikes, 20,000 miles... A series that follows actors Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman on a motorcycle trip around the world. Ultimately frivilous in content, but made entartaining by the personalities and stories the two genuine blokes bring with them. Best celebrity 'reality' series you'll ever watch. When's the last time you saw a celebrity go to Mongolia ? Or spend a night in a 'real' Russian gangsters house ? Watch it before you go on safari, it'll probably be the best 6 hours you'll ever waste.
Dark Days - Near Penn Station, next to the Amtrak tracks, squatters have been living for years. Marc Singer goes underground to live with them, and films this "family." A dozen or so men and one woman talk about their lives: horrors of childhood, jail time, losing children, being coke-heads. They scavenge, they've built themselves sturdy one-room shacks; they have pets, cook, chat, argue, give each other haircuts. A bucket is their toilet. Leaky overhead pipes are a source of water for showers. They live in virtual darkness. During the filming, Amtrak gives a 30-day eviction notice...A rare gem of a film that touches upon a subject most people would actively choose to ignore. Gut-wrenching in its honest potrayl of the forgotten people.
Hoop Dreams - This documentary follows two inner-city Chicago residents, Arthur Agee and William Gates, as they follow their dreams of becoming basketball superstars. Beginning at the start of their high school years, and ending almost 5 years later, as they start college, we watch the boys mature into men, still retaining their "Hoop Dreams". Along the way, there is much tragedy, some joy, a great wealth of information about inner city life, and the suspense of not knowing what will occur next. One of the most powerful documentaries i've ever seen which touches upon the most basic facets of our existence; hopes, dreams and everything in between. Do yourself a favor and watch it. |
