ok guys, i came to this forum first for the trance music, but also to improve my english skills, but now i recognize that the i don't understand the largest part of the expressions made by the american or british users
so i'm asking to people who isn't english mother tongue: what are the best ways to learn english?
time ago i've thought about a long stay in usa or england, but now i think that i don't know enough english, otherwise in italy it isn't taught very well |

un soggiorno nel paese è sempre la migliore soluzione. |

| The very best would be to live in a english speaking country. |

I guess it depends on the country (of the non-english speaking ones), how well English is taught in schools. Here we got to learn it very well ever since the first grades of school upto the time of graduation from higher level schools..
Personally my "best" English teacher over the years has been TV but if you really would like to learn the language quickly and well, a long stay in the US or UK/England would be a great idea; if you're still in school, a year as an exchange student for example. |

I love when foreigners use our expressions incorrectly, it makes them that much more enjoyable, and that isn't sarcasm, I get a kick out of it.
It's kind of like the swiss german phrase I don't know how to spell it, but it sounds like COOOKIE CASHLEY, and how funny it is to hear americans try and pronounce it. |

OK, that's how it was working for me:
Just learn it backwards through your pooper.
but beware of the ButtPirate

i know that the best is to live in an english country, but i think that i've to improve my english skills before the journey, or i won't be able to do nothing |

| I agree, your english is fine, you think your english is bad? Let me tell you, mexicans here CANNOT SPEAK ANY ENGLISH, or half the time they pretend they don't know any. |
