Actually there are a multitude of reasons that led to world war 2, in fact you can even argue that WW II is simply the extension of WW I, and that WW I never really ended...Hitler himself didn't start the war, and his rise to power was much to do with opportunism and being at the right place and at the right time and etc...
I mean he was democratically ellected (even though he made it happen through fear and terror) |

Ok again i didnt say Hitler wasent smart? If i was into that whole European domination thing Im sure i wouldent get that far, i just dont think naming a restuarant after someone responsible for mass murder is a very honorable publicity stunt. If they genuinly are only interested in using his image to show how unique they are i belive more suitable references couldave been found. It just appears to me theyre using his history as a tool to stir up contreversy and make a quick buck, do you honestly think they didnt expect people to find it offensive.
Regardless these sorts of threads always end up going way off topic from the origional post as the Holocaust comics one showed. |

Interesting, do you think if Hitler didnt come into power that someone else would of carried the torch and this was a war that was unevitable? |

i want to start an Albert Einstein Restaurant....
oh wait..then again it would be welcomed despite him making that little bomb that killed so many in Hiroshima and nagasaki and have left alot of the current population still suffering from physical defects due to mutation |

I didnt say you thought Hitler was stupid. I never disagreed with it being in bad taste, but I really dont see the necessity of being outraged and fueling the fire of publicity even more. I would eat there just to see what was going on, but other than that, its just another gimmick.
Let's say you made a serial killer themed restaurant, and it showcased EVERY serial killer ever in mankind. Im sure somewhere, someone is going to be offended because of some sort of relation to a victim or whatnot, but in the end, the restaurant isnt promoting killing, its just themed after people who were made famous by being vicious killers. |

Quite possibly...Germany was in extreme economic conditions with massive unemployment and depression (which was going through all of Europe after WW I). People were burning money just to keep warm because it was losing all it's value - you got paid and it was worth nothing...
Hitler changed the economic conditions by starting a massive military development and buildup (which was not allowed after WWI - he defied the rules and restrictions placed on him) - but there was nobody that could stop it because WW I just ended and people said - never again...
The huge military development created jobs and drastically improved the economy...and etc and etc...
Hitler wasn't the only one who was an Anti-Semite, there were millions of them all over the place...but he was quite the nutcase with his Arian race (while himself not being a part of it), and the symbol (and even the name) which was taken from gypsis and and Indian tribe or something... |

Wasnt he one of many scientist made to help in the Mahanttan Project? I never read the full story about Einstein's involvement with the Atomic Bomb. |
